What problems is this you may ask? People tend to be ignorant towards interpretation they copy and paste things out of contact, and they often don't know what they are talking about. I suggest we make a database of what we run across that either we find we don't know or others (not necesarily atheist) thus we can make ourselves stronger in Christ.

Let's start what are some popular things right now people distort:

i don't know if this is what you mean, but for distortion, i know many of my friends believe that, because many ministers speak of God being righteously jealous and vengeful, that He is unfairly 'unkind'. I find its a big barrier to get around when trying to speak to my 'non-believing' friends... they distrot it and twist it until those words mean what they want them to.

They try to say the OT is obsolete, and I doubt about the Biblical Canon.

There was a time when people knew at least the figurative outline of the Bible. Now they don't. I think it's because they get generations of information from non-believers. I think the result is the same as the "phone game".

What I've found is that some ministers tend to express the old adage of God (i.e. jealousy, vengefulness and others). What the problem is, is that God isn't represented in the right light by a lot of ministers out there. they express only certain aspects or sides of him, instead of the whole package.
God is a merciful, loving god who doesn't hold anything against us.
He's forgiven and forgotten everything we ever did and everything that we eer will do. He's greater than most people realize.

A lot of people think that God hates homosexuals. Which drives me up a wall, because He doesn't hate anyone- he just hates the sin.
