So, there's this guy. Let's call him... guy. Okay, so guy is this popular little person. He's liked. Now, there's this other guy. Let's call him Ugly Incompetent Loser. So, UIL likes Guy. The problem is UIL is barely even his friend, he's just this other cool person amongst another group of these 'cool people.' UIL knows a couple of his friends, but not close enough to get expelled for egging cars hang out with.
UIL has no idea how to even talk to people he likes, without making the biggest idiot of himself. Guy doesn't even talk to him when they pass in the hallway, which is the only time Guy and UIL are around eachother.
Help UIL. Because UIL would help you.

I had a dream (Guy) asked me out. It was really short, but it was amazing. I couldn't get it out of my mind. Naturally, I figure nobody will think less of me for it and tell it to everyone at school.
So, my friend (Friendy 1) gets in the lunch line behind him, along with (Friendy 2.) They're joking around about something, they point to me, and god-damn, I know just what they said and that's what I've been so subtlely waiting for.
(Friendy 2) then quickly poses the question, asking if (Guy) would date (Loser) if he was a girl. (Guy) promptly replies, "I'd do it even if he wasn't."

I have never felt my heart beat so fast and I'm pretty sure my face lit up the brightest red ever. And I keep asking (Friendies) if they're being serious. I'm finally convinced they are.
My life might just not suck. (Though report cards are coming out and I'm still a moron. gonk )

Wow.
I must have talked to (Guy) for 6 hours, just talking last night. Wow. He's every bit of awesome I have ever hoped for.
Of course, the next day, two of my friends (not to be mistaken for the Friendies) are hounding me to ask him out. Unfortunately, I sit by idly, just biting my fingernails and pretending I have the guts to.
Help me. I just cannot find the courage to ask him out and he is just amazing in every way known to man. HELP. gonk

I think you should start talking to him, about whatever, cos he's probably really nice.
However what makes you think he's gay/ bi? Just a thought.
