"O, no matter where he goes..." What exactly is a Fa'e?
A Fa'e is a very wanted, and very reknown pet in the B/C changing pets forum. They are very rare to get, as the shop doesn't have events anymore.
I'm not going to tell you how long I've been wanting one, or been around, to make myself seem like I should get one more. I'm not going to whine and emo over not getting anything. My reward is this character, whether I recieve him or not; my reward is making friends with all the people in the Fa'e community and just having fun.
That's all I want to have. Fun. =P

Leviathan is a beast that is told in the many stories of the Bible, usually portrayed as a type of Sea Monster, who's only purpose was to be slain at the end of time and fed to the righteous. There is no real grounds as to why he was to be slain, other than the fact that he was a giant beast.
As Wikipedia so nicely put it, Leviathan is "often considered to be a demon or natural monster associated with Satan or the Devil". However, Leviathan can also interpreted as a religious metaphor for Chaos, or simply the sea itself- more commonly it is associated as a beast who is sin gathered from those who 'warred against God's kingdom'. It is easy to understand, then, that it can be thought of as something like a Kraken or some kind of evil Sea Serpent- in particular, we have seen Leviathan in the Final Fantasy series as a summon, which is a stylistic version of what he should look like.
There are many different descriptions of Leviathan- some say it is a female, sister to the Behemoth, while others say it is strictly male. There rise many stories, and many faces to such a creature... but for this quest we will go with a particular story that I find will fit well.
Genesis 1:21: "God created the great sea monsters - Taninim."
"According to legend this refers to the Leviathan and its mate. God created a male and female Leviathan, then killed the female and salted it for the righteous, for if the Leviathans were to procreate the world could not stand before them."

The vast, untamed expanse of water and raw power, grating on the land day in and day out- lady of the tsdafim, as some called it; the ocean sung and danced and cradled many lives within it's arms, yet on the same token it was merciless, vengeful, and it's moods were subject to whims on a dime.
It wasn't long before a king and queen were created to swim the lady of the tsdafim. They were called the Levyatans, or the Leviathans, for there was no creature who walked or swam that was as large or powerful as they, and there was no beast or man that would not obey their whims.
"I shall give thee a crown; and it shall be a glorious crown. At all waves [they] will find a crest, for every drop of water thou swim [they] will find a ripple, and these shall be thy twin calls of happiness."
- - - Summary The basic premise is that Leviathan and his mate were not originally pillars of evil. However, when Leviathan's mate was expecting, god struck her down and basically fed her (or saved her in some cosmic refrigerator) for those he deemed righteous. God then told Leviathan that he was to have the same fate when the world came to an end- basically, that he was born to be eaten. He was worthless.
Leviathan himself, in this instance, became entrapped in his own desperate mind: he thrashed at the shores and churned the sea, generally causing great chaos and death to any man who lived close to it, let alone sailed it. Those he could catch he devoured as spite; Leviathan did not want this providence, and he wanted revenge on God- so he killed and he hurt others, trying not to appease anyone but the pain of himself, trying to force his hate and wrath (and basically all the seven cardinal sins, at this point) on others.
This is what caused the 'Great Flood' with Noah's ark. All the sinful were destroyed by a sinful beast.
When that world did come to an end, Leviathan was, of course, eaten. Then the world we know today started from the rubble of what is assumed to be the great flood.
However, Leviathan was not at rest, and therefore he was reborn...

Name: Leviathan, Livyatan
Name upon rebirth: Levon Magine Matreya
Nicknames: Levi, Dagim (fish in Hebrew), hey you
Gender: Male
Appearence: As a general rule, second generation Fa'e get their looks from their parents. It would be nice if Levon could somehow stay within his sea serpent/fishy theme, though... a few good pictures of Leviathan are here and here
Personality: Levon's existence is a viscious cycle of self-loathing, self-worth issues, and selflessness. His philosophies mainly revolve around the idea that he shouldn't be granted the 'finer things in life', as he doesn't deserve them, all the while pushing away gifts while giving many of his own.
This is partially because self-worth issues are at a grand scheme in Levi's daily affairs; he is constantly reflecting on why things happen to him, and why people say the things they do to him.
The urge to prove himself worthy of others, and especially those who denounce his worth, may drive him into prolonged fits of hysteria. His ego is a fragile, fragile thing- it has been imprinted strongly upon him in the past that he is 'trash', a mistake, and unworthy of living. This knowledge takes simple things, such as competitions of any sort, to a whole new level. If you tell him that he can't beat you, he will go so far as to hurt himself to prove that he can.
And in that, we see a contradiction shine through: He will gladly tell you he is unworthy, but if you tell him that, he's going to wonder why.
While he won't remember anything about who he was, and perhaps he'll never trully want to- his subconscious will. His subconscious hides most if not all the information of his past from him; in daily life, Levon may see things that will make him weep violently, or jubilantly happy- and he is not privy to how or why. He cannot access the memories deep within himself, but they are still there, and they will still effect his way of life.
Overall general demeanor is one of a coward and a martyr, of a selfless, somewhat mature and insecure person who, while trying to shed attatchments, will also keep them for the sake of others.
Current quirks that I've thought would fit him: Minor obsessive tendencies about his stuff, and just a general distaste for touch and people touching his things. Levon cares not for good and evil, but he does care for 'god and satan'. If that makes sense.
His Id is the epitome of sin, his superego is the epitome of anti-sin, and his current ego is usually violently torn between one or the other.
Powers: *REVAMP'D*

Passive: -Surf. The affinity for sea water, but the intolerance of fresh water. Since the term 'sea serpent' applies, you can bet your shoes that Levon will have to put salt in his waterbottles.
-Hidden power. Knack for old school Hebrew. By no means will he magically know it, but he'll be able to pick up the language fairly easily. This ties into the 'I can't recall my memories, but they're in there and they're effecting me' bit.
Active: - Watergun. For example, he can put his hand above a puddle, and then ripples would start from beneath his hand. Perhaps when this gets stronger, he can make waves, perhaps even tidal waves! However, just for a fun little feature, I'd like to add the bad part to this power- rogue waves. There will come times when, just like a rogue wave, Levon will find himself at the mercy of his own power... I would guess that he would be unable to control wave frequency/size, or the force behind it.
Basically the original power was simply ripples, since that is supposedly his god given 'crown'. However, Levon could later warp this with more strength, therefore making waves that were never supposed to be- metaphorically speaking, this is like making his crown bigger and more glorious than it's actually supposed to- therefore, every time he misuses this, there will be a slight possibility of getting a rogue wave. Which is most like getting the piece that topples the Jenga tower; the more he abuses the power, the more buildup will occur, therefore giving him a higher chance to fail each time. WATERAGA, GO!
-Bubblebeam. I would imagine that Levon could breathe underwater for a period of time, being a creature that couldn't really breathe air for very long in the past. He'd have to consciously make himself do it, though how, I can't say just yet.

Name: Mu Matreya
Age: Around 17-18.
Race: Foolish Human!
Appearence: Mu has straight brown hair, and honey brown eyes. She's a very average skintone, and kind of short, and kind of chubby. There's nothing that really screams out of the ordinary about her appearence; she's got 4 fingers and a thumb on each hand, 5 toes on each foot, two eyes, and regular features as any teenage girl would.
Personality: Laid back to a fault, Mu is one of those 'let's listen to jazz and drink soda in our flip-flops' kind of people. She's generally patient and accepting, but when that fuse is gone, out comes a fiery temper from someone who sounds like they have no argumentative experience. Which results in physical action mainly; punching, smacking, and otherwise cursing, with a long holding bitterness that will remain until the offender apologizes.
After that apology, anything that has happened in the past is voided instantly. She reflects on why it happened, but after that, simply forgets about it.
From this, she prides herself on being painfully honest, but not stupidly so, and feels that no one should take offense to her comments; after all, she's not ATTACKING you, she's just being truthful.
She cannot tolerate rudeness, and will not hesitate to go into 'hiss, anger' mode when someone deliberately either ignores, insults, or otherwise makes her feel as if she is not an equal on any ground. She also hates hypocrites, though- lets be serious- what human alive ISN'T a hypocrite in some fashion? >.>

A Yes, yes, this has been discussed thoroughly on many occasions. Leviathan is a vague concept, one I had to shape, and therefore I don't see a problem.
Q So like... you're gonna monopolize it?
A There's already another Christian Fa'e coming into existence, so I would hope not. ^^; Besides, I'm not too keen on using any Christian characters as NPCs in the first place...
Q Why is your guardian so bland and not well thought out?
A I have neither the patience nor the arrogance, if you think she's not great; the guardian is merely a secondary character which will fade away in time. It's all about Levon. wink As a side note, yes, Levon will pick up certain things from her, after all, she is his surrogate mother. However, I created a character just for him; she has no plot other than to be a support character.
Q Levon sounds emo/depressed/overdone...
A He is screwed up in many ways, yes, but emo? I should hope not. He is supposedly selfless in the attention-whoring regard. More like... he is just a person trying to get by, except he's one of those creepy, twisted individuals you don't want to talk to. He's the guy that gives you the time of day on the street, and makes you think to yourself: "Why does he care? What does he really want from me?"
