Van Evok it is ironically considered dark age by Imperials who lost almost everything gained in the Age of Technology... NO! (Well, sorta...) Thousand knights the dark age of technology was actually the time before the age of technology. DOUBLE NO. The "Dark Age" of Technology is the same as the listed Age of Technology. It is considered "Dark" by modern estimation because it relied on arcane science and cold calculation instead of prayer and proper reverence to the Machine Spirits.

Why is this still in discussion?
Twelve ravens did a good job listing info from multiple sources. including the HH card game, one of my favorite sources and where i first learned of Garro, Saul tarvits, and the heroes of Istvan.
Brookman has also listed the official timeline shown in the HH novels. The correct, official info is already posted here. So why keep bringing it up. Thbis thread she be of no more use now then posting about proper rule representations, people's modeling ideas, and so on.
And maybe rumors concerning future fluff and so on.

You know what they say, ignorance is bliss.
And captain Garro is da man in the fourth heresy book, or so I am told. Raving mad he was, so good was the book. sweatdrop

I've just gotten the second Horus Heresy art book thing, and I'm going to have to get the third and fourth as well now. Unfortunitely the first is out of print, and I'll not be able to find it. Ever. I take it now that this series is the one that people are referencing, or is there also a Horus Heresy line of novels?
Also, later I'll post a little bit about the Adeptus Custodes and Sisters of Silence for those without the benefit of owning the book. They are made even more badass. 3nodding

FlashbackJon I do believe they are releasing a compilation of the artbooks. EDIT: Yep. Thank you so much for directing me to Black Library, I owe you one for that. While I'm likely to get the compilation, that's not why I'm thanking you. I'm thanking you because I just ordered the Insignium Astartes for £1 and the Collectors Edition of Xenology for £10. That's just something I couldn't pass up on.

Also the artbooks use quite a bit of art from the cardgame. So if the artbooks werent available as a compilation, I wouldve recomended picking up a starter or a booster pack.

i beleive they are the emporers own police force on terra, as well as his personal guard. although i could be wrong. they are generally shown as being armed with nemesis force weapons and pointed helmets (like the high elves from fantasy) ::EDIT:: best place to try is the Lexincanum. they have info for most everything 40k related. ::EDIT #2:: this is the exact link to the lexicanum custodes page

You're correct, FL, kinda. They are the ultimate authority within the Holy Temple and can order the High Lords around...in the Emperor's Home. Elsewhere, they still rank well above even the highest Inquisitor though they rarely (if ever) leave the side of the Golden Throne.
As far as I know it, they're modified just like imperial space marines but they are much, much more skilled. I'd venture to guess that each is a psyker of equal power to a Grey Knight Brother-Captain and that their Nemesis Weapons all have the effects of a Force Weapon. Other than that, their Terminators have their Storm Bolters mounted up on their halberds. That's just badass.

hehehe, i have 2 models with Nemesis Halbierds with Storm bolters built in. one is on a B.Templars Termy, the other on my B.Templars Power armoured Champion.(i know its illegal) (the champion also has a custom plasticard shield in the likeness of an eagle swooping down) i think that both models are in my album, although im thinking of selling them. maybe getting rid of a load of my models, they are painted to a good standard. and most of them are converted (its what i do! xd ) so i should hopefully get a good price for them.
