The new day was beginning in the Pridelands, and Mvumo was carefully watching his family. He didn't dare move, for his eldest son, the son that bore an uncanny resemblance to him, had chosen to fall asleep on his leg. Aadil would probably be wondering later where little Kipanya was, as he blended in perfectly with his father when his bright blue eyes were closed in sleep. But this sleep was good. If Mvumo moved an inch, the cub would awaken, and would start with his silly little game of trying to get Daddy to say more than three words in a sentence. Mvumo didn't particularly like that game; if anyone other than one of his precious sons tried playing it, the brown lion would likely be most annoyed.
Kipanya stretched a little and turned over as he was sleeping. He was likely dreaming about that place with all the water and trees that his father told him about when he played the three word game. He wished his daddy talked as much as his mommy. Or it could have been a dream about daddy running away from an ostrich. Either way, the cub was smiling in his sleep. For now.

Aadil smiled warmly as she watched her son walking in front of her she loved his creamy white and tan pelt, and was very much so smitten with both of her children. She had not felt teh same since giving birth, the beautiful creatures inside of her had played a cruel game of hide and seek, and she felt that when they finally were found it was disappointing. Of course she would never say such a thing to her lover, or to her beautiful sons.
"Slow down, Kubwa, we'll see daddy soon," she cooed softly, mocking a harsh tone.
Kubwa laughed at his mother and sped up his pace, he knew the way, of course he did! They had both wandered away for a moment because he thought he had to go to the bathroom and would feel awkward infront of his family, mother tagged along.
"Dad! Guess what!?"

Jurawa bounced along in front of her mother. She had no idea where they were going,b ut she kenw it wasn't really important. The young red female grinned to herself as she went along. Forgetting for a moment that her mother was right behind her, she stopped to sit and itch behind her ear, giggling to herself as she remembered the silly game of tag that her and her uncle Dumu had played the day before.
The white lioness watched her happy cub bouncing along before her for a few moments, then looked up, smiling at the few clouds that appeared to be hovering above them, blessing them with shade in the heat of the morning. Just as she was about to look back down, she felt herself tripping over something. She gasped lightly and then teetered on her own paws for a moment before steadying herself, grinning down at her beautiful little girl. "We're almost there sweety, I know they live around here somewhere." She said softly, licking Jurawa's head lovingly.

Mvumo lifted his head at the sound of his mate and son's voices. Well, there went his plan of having Kipanya sleep for a little bit longer. It wasn't that he minded having the cubs around; on the contrary, he was quite happy being the father of two wonderful little boys. It was just, at that particular moment, he was feeling a bit tired. Still, he grinned widely at Kubwa as the cub moved speedily in his direction. My brother...that was what the name he had chosen meant. Kubwa looked so much like the brother he had lost long ago...it was as if the Storm God was giving him a new chance to protect him.
"What?" he asked.
Kipanya yawned and stretched, his tiny front paws reaching for his daddy's large front paw. Mommy and broder were coming! It was a new day for him to play and have fun with his family! "What, broder?" he asked, sounding a bit sleepy still, but interested. Had they found a new game to play? What was going on? What had he missed while he was sleeping?

"I saw a dare today that was bigger than me! He was HUUUUUUGE!" He giggled getting the name of the hare confused, he spoke very well for his age. He did a quick jump and then ran and tackled Kip, "It could have eaten you!" He giggled and bit his brother's ear playfully.
Aadil looked towards the horizon, noticing a white blur coming towards them, her heart spead up looking at such an apperition. Who are you? Have you come for my children?
"Hello?" She called meekly, her eyes never leaving the white creature, "can you see that?" she mummbled softly to her mate thinking that she may have dreamed the female that was walking towards them up.
"Hello?" she called again for good measure and then glanced down at her sons. Her light brown form moving closer to the two of them, just in case, white tail switching back ad forth.

Ave swished her tail slowly and smiled kindly at the brown lioness that stood with her mate and cubs not far off. "Hello there Aadil." She said quietly, kindly. "My name is Avellano. I came to visit, see how you and your family are doing." She smiled, nodding slowly, flicking her tail again and throwing a backwards glance towards her own cub, Jurawa, who was hiding behind her leg, peeking out curiously. "I'm just on my way to meet the other new families." The white lioness said warmly, giving her a small wink and then reclining to her haunches, causing Jura to scoot to her side.
Jurawa made a small squeak as she scooted to her mother's side, thens ettled herself as well, leaning against her mother's warm stomach, purring softly and staring wide-eyed at the other family. Something deep, deep inside her ached, she knew it wasn't her heart. But it was a sudeen pang....jealously. Of course, these cubs had a father that looked as though he loved them VERY much. She sniffed quietly and snuggled more against her mother, then sneered at the other cubs, baring her teeth for a moment and giving a small hiss. "Jurawa." Her mother said, nudging her gently with a large paw. "Behave."

Mvumo grinned at his son's attempt to speak. To be truthful, both of them spoke better than he did, and he was glad of that. He could get away with saying little, but he was certain that the cubs couldn't socialize well with the rest of the pride without saying something. Proper pronunciation could wait a while longer, and Aadil would have to be the one to teach it.
But what was this? Aadil seemed unnerved by something ahead of them. Yes, he could see something. Another lion? He glanced down at his cubs, wondering what they would do if it should prove dangerous. "I see," Mvumo whispered.
He blinked a bit in surprise when the lioness mentioned Aadil's name as well as her own. How had she learned about them? He didn't think they were that popular among the pride yet. But Avellano had a cub with her, so he doubted that she would attack two grown lions. He gave the white lioness a friendly nod before turning his eye back to his sons. "A dare? AWESOME!" Kipanya squeaked as his brother bit at his ear. Just when he was about to paw at Kubwa's tail, he noticed another lion their size. He tilted his head to one side as he inspected this strange newcomer. Who knew there were others as small as he and his brother? He jumped back a bit when Jurawa hissed, though. That didn't sound pleasant. It sounded downright scary. And...cool! "How did you do that?" he asked.

Kubwa smirked at his brother's yip, not exactly wanting to hurt his brother, just wanting to play. "Kip, that's a guuuuurl!" he whispered as he noted the newcomers, the older lioness was nothing imparticularly exciting, but the new girl their size was.
Kubwa had down some small adventuring on his own, sneaking off to play 'rebel' as he called it. He met a cub his size, and a girl that was a little older, and both had shared the same wonders about the world that he had.
"Hi, I'm Kubwa, are you new?" He girned cheesily looking at the dark colored cub.
Aadil blinked analyzing the white lioness, "have we met? Do you know Nelu?" her eyes seemed to zero in on this new lioness. Nelu was like her sister and it had been sometime since they saw one another. She'd never felt so protective in her life, she was usually eager to see other people. "I don't mean to be rude, hello and good day, Avellano. Just the one child?" she looked at little Jura with excitment, a little girl, wow!
She edged slightly closer to Mvumo, out of habit and of course, just for comfort, "It is a great day for meeting others," she smiled humbly.

Ave chuckled softly at the little males that she now knew to be Mvomu and Aadils, whispering about Jurawa. "Hmmm, I don't think I've met with a Nelu yet, I'm just here to see you and the cubs." She said in her kind, quiet voice. "It's my job to go around and meet the new families, and to keep the history of the pride." She said with a small nod, swishing her red-tipped tail happily and then grinning as Jura approached her front paws, promptly sitting upon them. "Yes, just my daughter, her name is Jurawa." She grinned, incredibly proud of her beautiful child. "May I have the names of your lovely sons, please Aadil?" She inquired, lifting a paw for a moment and placing it close to her chest, then staring at each cub for a moment, imprinting their images in her mind, so she could remember them by name, and sight.
Jurawa frowned at the males, then looked up at her mother. "They have a father..." She whispered quietly, causing Avellano's happy expression to faulter for a moment. "Shhhh. I said behave." She scolded, looking away for a moment, then nuzzling Jura and turning back to Aadil. Jura scoffed and stuck her tongue out at the whispering cubs, then shuffled off of her mother's feet and wandered towards them, grinning. "Of course I'm not new. I bet I'm older than you are..." She started, eyeing their father again, slightly wary of him. "And my name's Jurawa, it means Sparrow." She said knowingly, puffing her tiny chest a little and swaying her dark tail.

The pride historian? Now everything made sense, and Mvumo relaxed a bit, letting his trademark wide grin show to the newcomers. He was, however, keeping a close watch on his sons, should this new cub prove too hostile for his liking. He was restraining himself, though; he knew that he could be overprotective if he wasn't careful enough to control his concern for his cubs with wise actions. There didn't seem to be any harm in these strangers who were members of his pride, so he was content for the moment. Besides, watching her actions closely, Mvumo thought he could see fear in the eyes of the new cub. Well, he was frightening...that had to be good for something. Still, he didn't want a frightened cub either, so he grinned at her in a friendly way, hoping this wouldn't frighten her even more.
"I bet we're way older than you!" Kipanya said. "I bet the sun rose...many manys of times after we were born and before you were!" After his father looked at him in a scolding manner, he added, "Not that it matters. My name's Kipanya, it means mouse, 'cause Daddy said I looked like a little mouse when I was born. But I'm gonna be a big lion like my daddy when I grow up," he said, puffing up his chest as if it already had a mane on it.

"Their names are Kipanya, as the little mouse has pointed out, and Kubwa," she beamed proudly thinking of her two beautiful sons, they were her pride and joy. That the historian would take interest in her family also made her very proud, even if it was her job to learn about all of them.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, sit and stay awhile?" She smirked her knowing smirk and looked down at the cubs.
Kubwa frowned, what did his name mean? He was not at all sure and that worried him, he opened his mouth for a moment and quickly shut it, maybe it was best not to ask now..? But if not now, when?
"I am Kubwa, I am not sure what it means, Daddy do you know?" He looked up at his father hopefully. His father seemed to know everything there was to know, even more than his mother!
