The sun was slowly setting on the Kusini lands. It was the time of year were fireflies were at it's best, swarming the skies like dancing stars. It seemed like only yesterday the dark female had set eyes on her love, yet it seemed like just yesterday their love was tossled because of three new cublings. However, Ari still loved those three with all her heart. After all, they were her children, even if the blood of her mate's didn't run through them.
Gazing up towards the full moon, she smiled softly. Harvest Moon, something the Kusini lands worshipped; after all, they were the ones to follow the harvesting season. Perhaps this year, the goddess would show! That would mean a good year for the pride! The first good year in many.
Inbetween her paws, the small form of her newest son was. She purred, lowering her maw to lick at the little bundle. The two daughters were with her mate, the King. This was Ari and Adamu time.

*Within his mother’s grasp he felt safe… close to her he wanted always to be. His soft eyes, glossy in shine softly opened as he gazed up at his mother with a soft mew. Adamu was new life and he lusted for understanding… even at his young age. He wanted to know it all; he wanted his mother to tell him of the world and how it worked.
Slowly he pulled himself up from his resting place and inched upward, so that his tiny face nudged against her chin. He softly mewed at her and with tiny grasping paws he spoke.*
“Mother! Mother!”
*As he batted at her face playfully he lost balance and tripped backwards, falling back into her paws.*

At the small mews, the female's sky blue eyes settled on the coffee colored male. "Adamu!" She repeated, with just the same amount of enthusiasm her son had. Even if Ari was old, she still liked to act like a child, and what better way to do so when she is with a child.
"Look at the moon, my son." She said quiestly. "The goddess of our lands watches over us tonight." She murmured. The harvest moon of the land was the window between worlds. It showed the harvest goddess how her lands were doing, when she wasn't in the mortal realm.

*His eyes softly pushed upward as he rested within his mother’s large paws; he gazed up at the skies with wide eyes; taking in every last detail he could. Everything was so overwhelming… such colors mad his head spin. Softly he whispered to her, his forepaws curling along his tiny puffed chest as his mother held him.*
“Will I ever be able to see the goddess?”
*He questioned as he softly narrowed his gaze. The many stars now pulling his attention else were. Adamu’s tail curled and flipped as he rolled onto his side, nipping at her paws.*
“She should come play with us, mother!”

At the question, the queen gazed to the sky. She watched the twinkling stars, occasionally glancing towards the imitation bulbs of the fireflies. Then, without another moment, she glanced back to her son.
"One day you might. One day you might." She murmured quietly, nuzzling her boy. "She watches us everyday, and will come down only when our world is beginning to fall apart. She fixes our problems. We are her children." Ari stated softly.
"Play?" The charcoal female giggled. "Perhaps if you are a good boy she'll drop from the heavens for the day just to see you!" After this, she nudged her son, rising to her paws. "But you'd have to be a good for her when she makes her apperance. Then you could ask to play with her." The dark shadow smiled, purring towards her son.

*At first Adamu softly used his tiny paws to swipe at the passing glowing lights; he was so bewildered by them, entranced… he couldn’t brake his train of thought. But… once his mother spoke all else faded as he quickly turned his gaze back to her.*
“I’m not her child! You are my only mother!”
*He protested with a soft giggle; his wide eyes seemed to dance along her form as she spoke to him. He would always be a good boy for her! So that meant that someday the goddess would come to play with him!
He would hold his mother to her word; he wouldn’t let her forget this. Puffing out his tiny chest he wrinkled his nose at her and made a silly face, before nuzzling against her paws.*

Ari chuckled. One day he would learn what she meant by that. "Yes, that you are." She smiled. "My ittle boy," And with that comment, she gave her youngest child a bit lionlike kiss. "The sparkbugs are active tonight," Ari winked, "It means the goddess draws closer." Alright, so it /didn't/ really mean that, but the child didn't know that. He seemed so happy too hearing about the Kusini worshipee.
The female took a step backwards, watching the child. "Let's start heading home before your father and sister's begin to worry." She said softly. Asi was his father: the only father he would ever know that is.

“I like the sparkbugs, mother.”
*He announced with a puffed chest. His tiny paws dances along her as he circled his own tail, nipping at it widly. He was having such fun! He didn’t want to leave. Quickly Adamu rolled onto his side and slid away from her grasp… so that he was standing still all on his own.
He beamed at her; gazing up at her with pride. Oh he loved his mother, and wanted to show her that he could be strong… just like her.*
“Do you think that father will want a sparkbug? I can get one for him!”

Ada must've aquired the like for the glowing butt bugs from the queen, seeing as the charcoal female had such an interest in them as well. The female giggled at the puffed chest of her son, almost tempted to poke at it, to have her child become the cub he was suppose to be.
As Adamu rolled away from her, the sky-eyed lioness gazed at her son once again. "I think your father would love a spark bug" The mother nodded, walking past the coffee colored cub, and to a small bush. Little vines carreened up and down the twigs, as well as curled leaves hanging upon the branches.
Grabbing the vine, Ari manuevered it so a few cupped leaves would be held by it, while the vine looped to fit around her son's neck. "Here, you can hold them in here, when you catch them" The female said, placing the new necklace around Adamu.

“Oh!”
*The young boy jumped up and down in excitement. His mother had just given him a neckpiece- this was so cool! With wide eyes he gazed up at her and smiled brightly. He would find a bug for his father and his mother then, even if it took him years he would find the perfect one.*
“Momma.”
*He called up at her with a soft purr, nuzzling his forehead along her lower paws as he walked over them in a sheepish manner.*
“Thank you!”

Ari only smiled, nuzzling her youngest son in the loving manner. "Come on, Adamu." She said after a moment. "Time to go." They had been out all day, and night was well approaching the lands. "Your little necklace can be the light to lead us home" Ari stated, purring as she waited for teh cafe cub to lead the way.
