Super stood, his eyes closed, listening to the sounds of the Forest area. He wondered about the past, in which Angel Island had fallen here. Super now stood atop of the ruined cliffs that had become horribly scathed when it came crashing down. His ears twinges as something foreign to the jungle started making noise, So Super merely turned around, wondering what in the world it was. "Who's There?" He called out.
Nothing. Suddenly, there was a rush of rustling leaves as whatever was in there took off in a rush, making Super interested enough to give chase. As they ran through the dense jungle, avoiding tree's and roots, Super managed a glimpse of a tail as it whipped around the trees, and suddenly, the rustling stopped, and a large, ear-splitting groaning sound enveloped the area. "What in the...?" Super ran around another tree and saw an amazing sight. A ruin, glowing from within. Throwing caution to the wind, Super got a since of nostalgia as he entered the cave. Looking around corners as he went, he noticed the glowing was from a strange and foreign substance that absorbed a small bit of Sunlight and transferred it too all it was connected too. Super had seen it once before when Angel Island fell. Was this area he ran into a piece that had fallen off? Super delved deeper within, when he got the idea that it might not be a smart idea to proceed alone. That idea was shot down as the Door to the Ruins shut. The only light to see from was from the strange material. "Wonderful."
Continuing on the strange tunnel, It finally opened to a large area, where the ground was packed sand. It actually looked like it was recently disturbed. Super kneeled down and used his hand to wipe away some of the sand, seeing that it he dug down an inch, there was some of the strange glowing ore. "Man, don't they use anything else?" He walked towards the middle of the area, and Super noticed that it looked exactly like an arena. "Oh, I know where this is going. Ancient ruin, recently disturbed turf, chasing a creature through the jungle, And a groan that could shake New York..." He said, watching the other entrances into the Structure.
It looked very similar to the Roman Coliseum we know today, except underground and in Pristine condition. Super had walked through one of the two entrances that were not sealed. He turned around to see his entrance had a ancient symbol of iron. Super stared at it, before slowly checking the other entrances. Fire, water, and air emblems were over the rest of the entrances, and the fire emblem was over the only other entrance that was open. "So I suppose I'm going to fight something." He tapped his foot impatiently. A right old mess he had gotten himself into this time. He waited for a good minute before he got the feeling that nothing was coming out. "All right..." He walked towards the fire entrance, but as he did so, he started to hear whispers. "There we go... Now I'm going to..." He looked around as blue shapes appeared in the stands of the arena. "Holy..."
The shapes looked to be different animals, bears, foxes, hedgehogs, bats, echidnas and the like. All seemed to be gathering in the stands, whispering to each other. Super wheeled around, Looking at all of them. Suddenly he saw an image of a large hedgehog, buff and terrible. He held a large scepter as he glared down at the lime green hedgehog. "There... they're all spirits..." Super chocked out. He was familiar with Spirits, as they were the ones who had granted him his sword, the Koatica. But these ones were different. These ones radiated hostility. "I don't like this one...bit." He trailed off when he saw the large hedgehog. "...Oh no..." He recognized it clearly as he backed away, suddenly filled with fear. "No, no, no..." He hit the gate which concealed the water entrance. "What the hell are you doing here?" He cried. Suddenly, all was a hush.
The Larger hedgehog Pointed his scepter in the direction to the emblem of fire entrance. Suddenly, the spirits in the stadium fade to a redder color, as they all turned to the arena, hoping for a bloodbath. Out of the entrance, yet another hedgehog walked out slowly, limping even. It stared over to the larger hedgehog, who was apparently the king of these lost souls. The newly arrived hedgehog was solid, and a deep Blue color. He spoke. "You make me fight again, do you? You doom me to a eternal life, never growing old. You curse me to do your bidding, and now you expect me to take another life? I will do no such thi- AGH!" He fell to the ground. Super chanced a glance over to the poor creature. It all aspects, it deemed a resemblance to the King of Lost Souls. It also looked very much like...him. Super tried to calm himself by getting off the wall like a coward. The other hedgehog looked back up to his tormenter. "...As...As you wish..." He got up, and turned to his opponent. Suddenly his face turned to turmoil. "...Kindred..." He moaned as he stretched his arm towards Super. "...No..." He fell.
Super stepped forward. "How can it be... You should have died millennia’s ago!" He took another step. "You were told to be dead." Step. "You fell off a cliff into the Great Chasm..." he stopped. "Do these monsters keep you?" He gasped. He turned to the King of Lost Souls. He knew this one very well. "And you... Do this to your own son... For fun?" His sword flashed into existence. This resulted in a resounding gasp and chatter among the crowd that watched. The King looked at the lime green Hedgehog in anger... as it turned to surprise, then a evil smile. He stood up from his chair.
"Ladies and Gentlemen." his Voice Boomed. It resonated Pure evil and demand. "I give you the wielder of the Koatica of Light..." He pointed to Super, who raised an eyebrow. "...To fight the wielder... Of the Koatica of Darkness.. The very sword which holds your souls in this place." He called out as he pointed to the hedgehog who was chained to existence as a prisoner. "And to top it all off..." He glared into the Darkest Blue hedgehog. He screamed in agony as he fell face first into the ground. He laid there as Super move foreword as to help, but he got up, fluidly. He no longer had a will. He was under the King's Control. "My sons shall fight to the death for your enjoyment."

Super Slammed his fist into the ground. How the heck did all this happen? He was enjoying a day in the forest, and now. Now he is locked into a battle against odds that were far to even to be enjoyed. Super watched the dark blue hedgehog make his own sword appear from out of thin air. The Koatica of Darkness, A fearful weapon that traps the souls of the wicked, and ironically, those very souls were the ones who had made it, to rival those who had made the true Koatica, now labeled the Koatica of Light, in their eternal struggle in the After-life. Super eyed it’s ghastly appearance, the blade that could cut through the hardest of metals like a hot knife through butter. The hilt of the weapon gave off a dark mist that wrapped around it’s wielder’s hand, dissipating near the shoulder.
Super’s opponent was built similar to exactly how Super was, and they looked the same as well. There were those subtle differences, as well as the emotional ones. His adversary was a full inch taller than that of the Lime green hero, but was scratched and scathed all over, as if the wounds through out his life were never healed. His eyes, His deep sapphire eyes, were void of emotion or any type of feeling that would tie the hedgehog to that of a humanoid. Super took a terrible note that his eyes were the same as his own.
Their mother’s eyes.
Super now faced his twin, locked into combat with the one force that had beaten him at every turn when they were children. This thing was stronger, faster, smarter, and more agile than Super, and Super feared that it still held true together. They had always been that way, for as much as Super’s physical exterior shown almost the pinnacle of perfection, his heart was a bad one. It had always given Super a disadvantage at everything, and he suffered his first heart attack at age three. It was a miracle he had survived, although from that day forward, Super had never, ever, thought so. Or at least a good miracle. It was a terrible miracle. His father was abusive, and a king, so it made it seem like a good thing. Super had suffered as many injuries as a normal man, no, a Cop deals with in a lifetime before the age of Twelve. Super’s mother was nothing like his father. She always loved her little son, who was sweet and caring to his friends, although it was only two, and although Super had technically ’owned’ the chao, Super always seemed to show it as an equal to him. He named the chao ’Miles’, as for ’soldier’. It was his fathers idea to call him that, but Super’s Mother declined.
It was not his real name, Super. He had used that name because it was the first word of English he learned, and Knuckles was the one who had bestowed it on him. His mother’s name for him fit him exactly to his brother. ’Kindred’ would be it’s deciphered form.
Super was the first born of the two, but his father forsake him from day one because he was the smaller twin. It is known through the records of the first civilization that Super was, in fact, the first anything born in the world. It was believed that everything was created, and Super was the first not descending from creation, and by such, given a gift of protection when he game of age. But, this would not be for many years, as the young hedgehog was cheated out of life as The Good Doctor paid a visit to the civilization.
Dr. Ivo Robonik. The greatest and most cunning scientific genius of the world, had been stumped for sometime on how to create something more powerful than the Chaos Emeralds. After much research, he learned of eight different emeralds, and sought out only one, because the other seven were useless with out the jump start power of a Chaos Emerald. The Master Emerald was his goal, and he attacked an echidna clan that had lived through centuries of conflict, and spoke of an Ancient power resting in the Emerald, something powerful, yet horrible. This information yielded by the village elder, a echidna named Locke, had the opposite effect on the mad doctor and he took it, much to the echidna’s dismay. Locke went out to reclaim the emerald, but did not stop the doctor from completing his machine. A Time traveler. He packed a Gun and a couple of vaccines with him before checking out the early days of Mobius, and was surprised to see said civilization. He made quick friends with the maniacal ruler of the era, the King. In fact, his name was King, and this is where we get the term today. Eggman soon betrayed the king, and killed him, right in front of Super and his brother. Although Super hated his father, he called for revenge, and set out with his brother to kill Robotnik, who was having trouble with his Machine.
Through the course of events that followed, Super and his brother, who were only eight years of age, had tracked down the doctor in a Makeshift base. The Machine had fried, and Eggman and made a whole colony of other animals mine for Copper to make wires for his machine. Super and his brother made a daring plan, and finally, together, they cornered the egg in the elevator room, which was manually operated, but it was un-attended, as the two little heroes had released everyone. Eggman tried using his negotiation skills, and when that failed, and the hedgehogs attacked, Eggman jumped to the left, where Super nailed the fat man, but his brother missed and landed in the elevator, and with a quick flick of the wrist, Eggman sent the little dark blue hedgie plummeting to his death. Super sat and grieved, and he himself was booted off the edge into the abyss, but he caught the rope and hung there for hours, his heart nearly killing him through all the turmoil.
Weeks later, the young Hedgehog turned nine, and he celebrated by setting out once again to find and finish Eggman, who he had heard retreated to the north. Super was held back a few years to work up enough gold to pay passage to the frozen tundra’s of the north. Super finally confronted Eggman, in the middle of a blizzard. The Doctor laughed at his perseverance, only making Super madder, and attack. A single bullet ended Super’s six years of vengeance, as he collapsed in the snow, holding his chest where the bullet had cleaved through his heart, and he cried silently, awaiting his death as snow covered his body, and Robotnik‘s flood control devise failed and super was buried under ice. Cryogenically frozen.
Millennia later, Scientists found a hedgehog-like creature that somewhat looked like Sonic the Hedgehog, a hyper-active sapphire blue hedgehog that lived on South Island. The hedgehog was taken in it’s ice prison to a military lab, where it was brought back to life and through a quick surgery, they somehow saved the little one’s life. A Young nurse overheard what the government planned to do with the hedgehog, and fled to save it from a fate similar to what he had already gone through, although she did not know that. The woman sacrificed her career, and life, to save the poor hedgehog. He was told to find the one who had found him in his ice cage, a small wolf named Sickle.

It didn’t make sense. Not to Super, anyway. Here he was, In the middle of a coliseum, Locked in combat with his brother, who had fallen to his death many millennia ago. Super had always been saddened when he was told that the Spirit of his brother did not rest in his blade, but he never expected to face him, with the very force that negated each other. There were no one-ups in this fight, no way to break the odds. The only thing he had was his own skill and speed, which as of right now, he was making good use of. The Being that wiped his brothers mind from all morals stood still as he smiled maliciously. Super deflected a downward strike barely and leaped back. As of so far, Super had not struck out at his brother. It was not his fault. Super had to think fast. Another Downward slash as Super leapt to the side. He had to think faster.
Super recalled the last time his brother and himself engaged in Combat. In fact, It was very much like the way it was now. Their father watching down on them, smiling. But not one of those fatherly smile as so many people know, Super never knew of these. It was the smile of a corrupt Overlord bent on World Conquest. Super always lost, normally because his heart could not pump the blood needed to keep him going. His father would always kick him repeatedly for his failure. For his inabilities. His Mother, on the other hand, was the polar opposite, only a mother and wife due to being the prettiest hedgehog. In all senses, she was raped. But she kept her children so she could raise civil predecessors, much to the fathers displeasure. Super and his brother never saw eye to eye, but their dedication to the family name held strong as the flames of hell or the light of heaven.
But outside of family matters, the twins were rarely seen apart. Their attitudes, although different, fit together well, as their physical statures were able to do anything the other wanted to do, if one wanted to climb a dangerous cliff, They’d be able to do it. If the other one wanted to test their mental abilities, a game of Hoppers, Now-a-days named Checkers, was made. They did share a similar taste, food.
But on some days, when the younger brother was with his father, Super headed off to seek the council of his mother. But after she had died in child birth for his younger sister, he sought out friends. In doing so, he met a young wolf in his city. Within a few months, the two became close friends. Although the navy hedgehog never liked the wolf, he was completely alright with his brother’s time with her, although he could never see why. Super and his friend, Sparky ‘Moon‘, she was named, soon became childhood sweethearts. Their time together was very rare, as Family matters kept both away for long periods of times. But when they did have some time when they were not called to do hopeless chores, they met outside of the walls of Chaos Guard. There, the played in the fields. But only until Sundown. At Sundown, Life changed in the City of Chaos Guard. Always for the worse… Super shuddered at the thought, and soon came back to reality as his brother’s blade swept by.
Leaning against the wall, Super narrowly got slashed in the torso. As small as a paper cut, the Blade’s energy sent Super nearly writhing in pain. He rolled unto the floor, only to summersault to keep the blade away from him. He glared at the spirit of his father. He back-flipped three times backwards, then sped off towards the wall. Gaining enough momentum, he started to run on the wall, his sword drawn out as he circled the arena’s battle ground with extreme speeds. The Dust in the middle of the room started to whip around due to the gale force his movements were creating. He had to buy as much time as possible to be able to think out a plan to get him- and his brother- out of here. As he ran, he felt something grab his leg. It was a horribly strong grip. Inhumanly, Super stopped, the G-forces nearly killing him as he was whipped around and thrown across the room, where he hit the ground with a sickening crack.
It was apparent. His Brother has just broken his leg in two.
Super howled I pain as he stared up. His eyes were filled with tears. His heart was throbbing more then he could handle. He clasped his hand over it and screamed in internal agony. There was little that he could do now. He looked at his surroundings. Hooting from the crowds, his fathers smile, his brother’s soul-less eyes as he came near, slowly, as if taking in every moment of pain the Lime green hedgehog had. Super could see that he was ultimately finished. There was no way out. The Navy hedgehog drew ever close. As of right now, Super’s life should be flashing before his eyes, but as you’ve read, His life as been flashing before his eyes already. To point that out right now would be far to cliché. Such is life, though, sense it’s happening anyway.
“MOM!” The young anthro yelled as his mother’s eyes finally fell. Super couldn’t believe. The one person who was truly nice to him, someone he could always confine in, someone he could go to, was now gone. He turned to the door, where his father stood menacingly. He gave a huff breath before walking over, muttering something under his breath. The little green turned back to the body of his mother, still holding unto her hand. It couldn’t be true. Not now. Not ever. She was dead. He was alone. He couldn’t stand it. It wasn’t fair. He suddenly felt a burst of energy in the room, and he looked around. Something just happened. But he didn’t know what. He stared outside. The sun was shining it’s last few rays. “Good-bye.. Mother…” He called out, as the final ray went away. He looked to the crib holding his tiny baby sister, before walking out of the room.
--
“Hello. Is Sparky home?” He asked a wolf mother. She turned around, worry in her eyes. “I haven’t seen her…” She said. Super sighed as he began to turn around. “I’ll come back tomorrow, ‘kay?” He said.
“Don’t.” She said defiantly. Super wheeled around. Was there something wrong with him seeing her? “I haven’t seen her.. I haven’t seen her…”
“Miss?”
“I haven’t seen her for a week. Nor Bullet. Their gone. “I haven’t seen them. I haven’t seen them.” She leaned against her doorway, tears flowing down her cheeks. She went into inconsolable wailing. Super looked in horror. Why were the only good people in his life going away. He though he had somewhere to go now, but now… He couldn’t take it. He had to get out of this city. He had to get away.
--
Super felt all the pain go away. His revenge, his pain, his heart problems. He had been frozen by Eggman, and he had died because of it, it seemed. He looked around his surroundings. A odd realms, swirling colors and a floating city. He walked along before he stopped. Everyone around him were dead. Not like this would make a difference, he was dead too, he though, but he was walking on his own two feet, everyone else was just wispy spirits, flying through the air. He even saw a few appear, wailing. They had just died, apparently, but to Super, he was here. Physically. It didn’t make sense. “Hello?” No one answered. He didn’t know if they could hear him. He decided that standing in one spot would not be very beneficial, and made his way towards the largest structure. It had to be an important structure, right?
As he walked along, the spirits stopped and looked at him. That answered his question on noticing him. He watched as they began to whisper to one another, languages flying around him. The young hedgehog who grew up too fast headed straight on. Now was not the time to be scared. As he entered the building the spirits stopped outside, even the newly dead ones. Something must have been off about here, or just really… Something. The hedgehogs vocabulary wasn’t extensive. “Hello?” He called, hoping for an answer. He started to hear more whispers. He looked around wildly as he delved into darkness. He kept a steady pace, and noticed the whispers getting louder. Everything was dark now. Super turned to go and saw nothing behind him. The whispers grew into a horrendous din, and he couldn’t take it anymore. “SHUT UP!!!” HE cried, falling to his knees, holding his arms over his head. Everything went silent…
