Sorry to have to inturrput your delightful conversation, you two, but we're supposed to be battling soon, aren't we? As far as I can tell, us 'pokemon' aren't allowed to do anything until you 'trainers' give us instructions, or it isn't a true battle. So...what'll it be then?
Esme regarded Puck suspiciously before glancing back at the arena. "I'd say that was a pretty good excuse for trying to weasel your way out of that one, Puck, but you'll only have to face the music later. What do we do now? Any ideas?"
I've had time for plenty of ideas while I was shut up in that ball. But I'm not alowed to use them if you can't say them. Go figure. The Espeon, tense and agitated, relaxed a bit as Minerva stroked its fur again.
Ahhh...that's nice...an allergy? Silly witch, it's not some sort of illness. It's more like a...I'm not sure how else to put it other than a weakness. A weakness of what we are. But since I'm no fae in this world, it doesn't affect me. That's my guess, anyway.
How can we tell you where you are if we hardly know ourselves? Puck asked the Primape irritably. And now that you're in this battle, I'm guessing you can't get out of it unless you win, so you might want to cooperate. If you haven't noticed, the humans have you outnumbered a million to one.
"Esp!" The Espeon leaned downward and leapt onto Minerva's arm to examine her hurt hand. Careless fool. Now see what you've done? Brushing its furry cheek against her hand, the psychic pokemon licked her bruise delicately. Minerva, I warned you not to let it out...this thing won't obey you, not if you try to use it in this battle. I don't think you'll need to use it if Hook and I can last, however. Why don't you call it back? He placed a dainty paw gently on her bruise and concentrated. Recover.
As Puck watched the primape get sucked back into the pokeball, he smiled. Good ridance. Well, at least for now...I think you'd better leave this up to me. Just say what I tell you and you'll do fine.
The Espeon bristled at Mitsurugi's approach, but did not attack.
Esme sighed. "I don't know anymore...but it's too late to back down now." The platforms with the pokemon trainers began to rise, lifting them high to be level with the stadium crowd. "We have to fight. It's our only chance."
Hook looked to the others. He stood solemly, appraising the arena. "Scizor. Zor," he murmered, agreeing with Esmeralda, though he would sorely disliked the thought of having to obey Mitsurugi's commands. Maybe the Samurai boy would take the freakish monkey thing instead.
"Minerva, I know you don't want Puck in his pokeball, but he'll be safer there! And since Hook wants to go first, and I can't find his ball, I'll just let him try. You don't have to risk Puck if you don't want to, but Hook was ready for battle! Aren't you Hook?" Esme kissed Hook on his arm, which was as high as she could reach. "Good luck, my friend."
"Sci. Scizor-zor." Hook nodded one final time and then with a powerful take off, launched himself into the air. At once, his transparent wings began to vibrate until they made the air hum. He hovered just above the arena before touching down, ready for anything. For the first time since he had been in this form, he smiled. Now he knew why everyone enjoyed flight so much. And it would be sure to aid him in the battle.
Puck shook his head. What a show-off. Minerva, as much I hate to admit it, Esme's probably right. I don't mind staying in there for just a little while. So long as you don't drop me. I'd better do it now, before they see me and get you disqualified, but you can still talk to me and call me out later if you need me, alright? He tapped his love ball at Minerva's belt, causing the red beam to minimize his size and enter it.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!! THE FIRST TRIO HAS CHOSEN A SCIZOR CALLED HOOK AS THEIR FIRST POKEMON! WHO WILL THEIR OPPONENT CHOOSE?"
As if on que, the dark haired boy with glassy eyes waved at the cheering crowd and threw his ball over his shoulder.
"Go, Jolteon!" He instructed.
"Quick, Mitsu, Tell Hook to do something!" Esmerelda advised Mitsu, watching frantically. "He's not allowed to do anything without you telling him! It's in the rules!"
"A teacher?" The pirate girl blinked. "You don't say? It does sound like it fits her...you know, I bet she'd make an awesome teacher. But she's a very sophisticated child! And yet she really does know how to have fun when it comes down to it. Maybe that's one reason she and Puck were drawn to each other." She grinned in amusement. "That day in the clover feild when they met...I think between the three of us, I was the one who acted the most childish then. It was pretty sad."
"Wow! That is lucky. So you never had to deal with either in an item stage? That can be tough on both the itme and guardian, since it's usually quite difficult for them to communicate. Maybe that's why my kids are less attatched to me. We never really had a good bond, but usually we can get along. Are two girls tough in the same household? I know boys are annoying with their instinct to dominate..." she smirked, thinking of Hook's iorn and Puck's hatred.
"We can make some fun on our own! All we have to do is figure where to start! And what better place than this city? It's huge!" Tymiko blinked. "Taibalt? Your twin? Is he another TMK child? I'm afraid I've never heard of him, though he sounds very nice! I'd really like to meet him sometime! I'd rather have someone to talk to excessively than no one at all."
Tymiko extended her arm to complete the link and headed off at the same pace as Rogue. They were in no hurry; they were simply here to have fun.

Minerva shrugged "I don't know, but you should give him a little more credit, I mean..." Stopped suddenly, she blinked in response to Pucks' words.
"That's... a good point. And as for the weakness thing... I would have to say that that's the first time I've heard of such a thing without it being like an allergy, hmm." The thought intrigued her, and she wondered about it for a few more seconds before she turned back to the matter at hand.
She watched as her hand got healed, Oh well, too late now, hm? She thought with a smile. I agree, I don't think we'll use it... even if we have to, which I hope we don't. A pause As long as you're sure, then... alrighty. She watched as the Espeon disappeared before looking up at the scene in front of her.
Mitsurugi's jaw dropped, he was in charge now? Usually he would love to be in charge, to take control... but he had no idea what to do! Did he just... speak?
"Scizor? Hook... Attack!" He could only hope that was good enough. "Rush up and slice at it, but be careful, it looks fast!"

Tatriana beamed, proud of Minerva. "I know, she even teaches me things on ocassion, she's definitely an amazing little girl."
Tilting her head slightly, a confused look on her face "I wonder what I'd do with an item... I guess, I'd find some way to communicate, of course." She grinned.
"Two girls? They might not usually be, but my girls adore each other... they'll never admit it, but they care. It's really cute, actually. Do you have two boys?" She asked.
"Sounds like fun, I've never been into one of this worlds' towns... I've gone past quite a few, but didn't need to go in."
"Taibalt... he's not a child from this world, no. He and I come from a place very far away, he's there right now I believe. I'm not really sure how I came to be here, but once I figure it out I'll be sure to drag Tai over here. As for nice? He's definitely nice, with a few curteous moments. But he's also a little brat at times, but that's just another reason to love him. I agree."
Linking arms with Tymiko, they strolled up and past a building labelled 'Pokecenter'. "Hm... what to do, what to do..."
