Okay! It's a new book called The Looking Glass Wars and I'm so hooked it's near obsession right now. Mainly because I'm halfway through it and I've had to stop until tomorrow. Is anyone reading it? I want to hear other people's thoughts about it.
If you haven't read it - go out and try it! It's based on Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, but it's completely different. Lewis Carroll meets the Matrix, maybe? Alyss is the Princess of Hearts and heir to the throne, but when her evil Aunt Redd decides to reclaim it, Alyss finds herself stranded in 1860s England.
The story is not only well-thought and clever, but the writing is really awesome. There's a great balance of drama, intrigue, romance, and comedy. I think this is the first book that has ever had the line "That's not an evil guinea pig!" and pulled it off so well.
And not only that, but Hatter Madigan is the most badass guy to ever don a top hat. EVER. I dare someone to come up with a better top hat-wielder.

I really want to read this book, and now you've got me even more psyched about it. x) Unfortunately though, I jsut ordered a bunch of books off Amazon, so I might not get around to it for awhile. D;

hey i've red this i's really, really, really gud every1 shud read it. yea id agree it like alice in wonderland gone matrix haha. I think there shud b a 2nd one if ne1 noes of one if there is haha.
