After the painful encounter with the protective mother badger, Ticdat had wandered hwere her fears and pain had taken her. This wasn't a good thing, because the experience had rendered her completely blind, and her wanderings led her closer to the river. She heard the sound of rushing water and had to stop, ears perked and body quivering. She smelled the water, but how close was she...? She sat down to think this over, lifting her injured paw up so no preasure was on it.

Something certainly wasn't right. The hare watched from its favorite rock as one of Raka's pups wandered away from a bad encounter in the direction of the river. This wouldn't end well... When she sat down, the confusing hare let out a sigh of relief. Time to tell Raka... In a swift movement, it was off and finding the adult wild dog. What it found instead was the mother, whom it watched for a moment before revealing itself to her. Usually, Jareth only showed himself to Raka. But the situation called for him to break his usual protocol. Yes, he was male. But it was something he never let on about. Best to keep them guessing.

Adia slowly flopped over lazily in the sun. Sun was nice, and the pups weren't after her to feed anymore, so.... She won life. All four paws stretched as she enjoyed her moment, and then she blinked.

Was that a rabbit?

Lifting both ears up, the albino hare stared the female wild dog dead in the eyes. Narrowing them slightly, he hopped over and batted at her nose before hopping away a bit. He only actually SPOKE to Raka, but he'd show himself to Raka's mate. Glancing over his shoulder, cottony tail wagging a bit, Jareth watched the dog of mud and stone with ruby eyes, almost telling her to follow him.

Adia was puzzled by the hare's strange behaviour, until it swatted her. This caused the adult female to yelp, jumping away in suprise before she fluffed up. It hit her! That thing hit her!....Wait, was it working for a lion?

Whatever it was, Kasida trotted from nowhere, atleast, nowhere behind Adia, and stared at the rabbit before sniffing and pawing it. Adia then blinded, darting over and lifting her pup carefully. No lion-minion was hurting HER pup.

....

Yeah, Adia had issues.

This wasn't going to be easy... Jareth sighed, then pointed at Kasida before pointing at one of the stone-gray patches on Adia's side, then the dirt. With a paw, he made a mark that looked like a river in the dirt before pointing towards it. Charades, how delightful!

Adia's ear flicked. The rabbit didn't seem harmful to Kasida, was it trying to say something? Both ears pricked as she tilted her head in confusdion.

Yes, Adia was dense. Woot!

She was more of a rock than Raka was...! The hare sighed, then went over to the wild dog. Grabbing a paw, he tugged on her, trying to get her to follow. This was a matter of life and death for a young dog! He had to get her to follow him!

Sighing just a bit, Ticdat looked around. But it was no use, she would never see again. Ears folding back, she let out a whimper of fear. She knew she was near a river, but didn't know WHICH river. There were a few of them in the territory, including a little brook that led off the main waters to the Graveyard. Shifting again and keeping her sore paw up, she let out a howl of fear, hoping to be heard by someone... Anyone...

Adia's ears flicked for just a minute before she heard the howl, and off she bolted, paws thumping as she raced. Atleast her hearing was keen.

Kasida's head pricked. She was too little to follow, and her momma was moving fast, so what could the puppy do?

Not. Alot.

The howl of the lost and blinded pup reached Jareth's ears, as well. He let out a sigh of relief as Adia raced off to the sound, then turned to the paler pup. Even the hare knew the white had come from one of her aunts, a dog living off in another pack far away. He went over and gave her a pat on the head, almost as if to reasure her.

She could hear something running towards her. Crouching down, Ticdat did her best to vanish into the dirt and brush, but she couldn't see how bad a job she was doing. The blood on her face and paw were beginning to dry and form a dark crust, sticking to her fur even more. She was afraid of what might be approaching, and the winds blew the wrong direction to tell her anything.

Oh! It WAS friendly! Kasida smiled, nuzzling the hare warmly, before laying down.

"Do you think Momma will be OK?" Her head tilted. Ever observant, she had learned what different howls meant very young.

Adia, meanwhile, rushed over to her pup, and was soon lowering herself, gently grooming Ticdat with worried strokes of the tounge. What had happened to her pup!?

The albino hare simply nodded, ears twitching. SHe was a good pup, seeming to have gotten the better of both of her parents' personalities. It made Jareth smile.

Suddenly her nose was invaded with her mother's scent. Whining, Ticdat sat up and leaned towards the adult. Ears back, she whimpered as her face was licked, cleaned up of the encrusted blood. The fear still there and the ever-present pain kept her from speaking up just yet.

Well, the Bunny wasn't talking! This intrigued the pup greatly, and she nuzzled at Jareth curiously.

"You don't talk? Poor thing!" And in mimicry of her mother, she settled to grooming.

Adia, meanwhile, once satisfied her daughter's wounds were clean, nuzzled her a bit.

"What happened?"

Letting a sound of indignation out, the hare wiggled free. He was NOT being groomed by a pup like that!

Burrying her face in her mother's fur, favoring her injured paw, Ticdat wept, which only caused more pain as the tears flowed over her wounds. "I-I-I found a hole and smelled something, a-a-and..." She sniffled and hiccuped, closing her eyes. "I started digging, wanting to see what was there, and a b-b-badger attacked me!" Body shuddering, the pup huddled close. She was blind, afraid, and in pain, but at least her mother was there.

Adia settled to grooming her face, primarily the wounds, and her paw. She would not let her pup be injured so badly like this and be unloved. It wouldn't do.

"Ssshhh, all will be well. Some creatures aren't friendly."

Kasida blinked as her "new friend" wriggled away, then whined slightly, inching after. He needed mommying, he did! He acted just like her brother!

"Wait! I'm not done with your bath!"

Whimpering a bit, Ticdat leaned into her mother's caring touch. Though the pain was great, she felt tired from her ordeal and soon drifted into a painful slumber. It would be a long while before she would ever feel safe again, but with her family she would feel the safest.

Scratching at his cheek a bit, Jareth gave the pup an indignant look. After a moment, he turned and headed back towards Adia and Ticdat, keeping to a pace the pup would be able to follow at. He needed shade, that sun was too bright for him....
