The Pentacle is among the most frequently used symbols in Neopaganism, along with ones such as the triquetta, ankh, triple moon and others. This symbol means different things to different people. We each have our own way of thinking about what a symbol means to us.
arrow What does the pentacle mean to you, whether or not you use it in your practice? arrow What do each of the five points of the star represent to you? arrow What signifigance is created by the fact that these five points are all connected by lines? arrow What does the circle represent to you? arrow Does the upside-down pentagon in the middle mean anything to you? What about the other negative spaces created (the triangles and fifths of circles)?

What does the pentacle mean to you, whether or not you use it in your practice? The pentacle is a symble of my faith. To me it is represents the spirite rising above the four elemtnes but at the same time it is part of them. What do each of the five points of the star represent to you? Going from the top and around to the right: spirit, earth, fire, water, air. What signifigance is created by the fact that these five points are all connected by lines? To me it meens that all the of the elements are conected and need eachother to form the whole. What does the circle represent to you? To me the circle is the circle of life. Does the upside-down pentagon in the middle mean anything to you? What about the other negative spaces created (the triangles and fifths of circles)? nope, thats just negative space. ^-^

I wear a pentacle every day. I have four. one nice big one, that I wear every day, two small plain ones (same size as the one in my siggy) and the other has the start signs round it.
they represent what they mean, fire earth water air sprit.
it represents the fact there is no begging or end to life.
the circle is that it is all protected, also no begining or end.
the upside down pentacle makes me angry and sad, that people wear it to be cool. I cant stand it when people wear it with out knowing what it means or where is has comefrom.
