Grubilman I got the "All Star Tribute to Iron Maiden" CD, and he was on it, singing Wrathchild... wow... he has really gone down hill... I wasn't the biggest fan of Di'Anno to begin with, but this is even worse. I agree with the person who said they preferred Bruce and Blaze. I have the same CD, and I agree. Di'Annio was good, but definitely not my favorite...a bit too punkish.

He's talented. I've heard what he has done solo and it is okay. I think that everyone who has ever been in Maiden Is amazing, but Bruce really let out thier potential. Di'anno ussually doesn't get much credit, but he deserves it. He can definetely sing.

Killers was a really good album and his vocal work was great, Purgatory was fantastic... but it didnt have that extra something to really make Maiden soar... thats where Bruce comes in.
all in all, i like Paul... he had his style. But Bruce was just a better performer/frontman/vocalist, what have you.
I tip my hat to you Paul... where ever you are.

I really like his voice, I like how he sings Wrathchild. In my opinion, Bruce can't sing Wratchild very well.

the reason tha alot of people think paul is a great singer is because the fact that iron maiden was a great band and they knew how to excentuate pauls voice and make him sound alot better you can tell though that with paul the band realied on the instrumentals alot more than with the other singers. you can think whatever you want but if what I said wasn't true then paul would of hand a better solo career than bruce. when I listen to the killers album I don't like it because of pauls voice I like the guitars and the rythme. another think if paul was such a great singer why did so many of maidens song when they where with paul not even include vocals.

ZAKNAFFEIN Yeah. Paul added a punkish sound to maiden, which just isn't them. I love his stuff with maiden, but his solo stuff is s**t. Bruce owns anyway. Blaze is ok, but I'd prefer Bruce anyday. That's what I'm saying! But he does have a good voice. Something that Bruce can't replace when singing Phantom of the Opera.

I loved his Maiden stuff alot.... he did work with and record with some other bands in the 80's early 90's (Battlezone, Praying Mantis, Paul Di'anno and Killers) but its hard stuff to find and well its okay but not as good as his Maiden stuff.
