Does anyone have Halo for the PC? If so, talk about it here. What types of maps do you like? Heavy or regular weapons? Modded maps? What's your ideal map/weapon combo? What do you think of the controls on the PC vs. XBox?

I favor the PC version of halo much more over the X-box one. The controls are extremly solid, and with the right 5 button mouse, very quick. Despite the graphics, the gameplay and AI are updated, i beleive the legendary and Heroic is more challenging on the PC, basically to compensate for how easy it is to point and shoot with a mouse. Driving a warthog is easier, and you can pull off some greaet 360's much easier. I especially like how you can get a TON of vehicals on your maps. For instance: Blood Gulch, on the PC you can go through and customize every single vehicle for the red and blue team. thusly your can have 8 Ghosts, 8 warthogs, 4 ghosts, and 2 banshees on nearly any map. As long as that map supported banshees. That made for some great Destruction Durby.
The main downside to HaloPC, was the engine was ported lazily. The graphics are horrible, and you need to have just that right video card thats uber powerful to make it look anywhere near decent. But if you do have a nice video card, the graphics are much better than the x-boxes. Im not just saying that because a PC can be more powerful, but because Bungie actually went through and added minor details, theres scratches in MC's armor, dents and stains on his gloves and such, its really beautiful.
And finally, the simple fact that ther'es Flamethrowers and FuelRod Guns make it all the much better.

Since I now have a very beautiful system running I am considering getting Halo PC. Main reason...well there's an awesome Zelda mod out there for Halo, they are building it from Ocarina of Time, online Zelda basically. From what I have seen of it so far it looks to be awesome. I'll still debating though.

I'm much better off with the mouse control setup, but I'm getting sick of heavy weapons games. xD
I love the fuel rod gun though. <3

I mean a pc can support just so much more. Better graphics, better gameplay, more advanced controls, constant updates, and yadda yadda. Although lag probably is an issue. Also from what I've heard, it's pretty much just modding. Ooo look I can mod this, oo look I can mod that, watch me tely up there, watch me lock-on to you... etc. so I'm not gonna get it unless there's a free full game download somewhere.

By the way, I have both now. And I play it alot.
I'm usually in one of the BBT sniper games. Either supersniper or the UK server.
