Every song popping into my head right now is far from PG-13, and all of them are by King Missile...and none of them are really songs so much as they are free forms poems set to music. Which sounds kind of like a round-a-bout way of saying it's a song but I assure you there's a very large difference.
I just spent about 4 hours playing Guilty Gear with two guys of a roughly equal skill level. Then we switched to Guitar Hero. One guy's on expert while I'm still on hard. The third guy is just making the switch from easy to normal. It was a disaster. I guess you need people of equal skill levels if you wanna play multi-player. One song at a time is a really good way to go if you're as unbalanced as we were. But screw it, passing back and forth on chrous bits was awesome.
I hope Guitar Hero II allows for two different difficulty levels at once. Just so things feel more even.
I caught the last few minutes of Eureka Seven. I hate this part of the series. I won't say why I hate it, because it's a complete spoiler, but it's what makes this series so near and dear to me. The thing with Charles, his wife and Renton that is. They've yet to invent the emoticon to express how that makes me feel.
Anyways, that's depressing as all get the pencap out. It's also pretty boring. You must be a real trooper if you bothered reading all that crap. I have a bad video game addiction. I thought maybe I was being hard on myself but somebody confirmed it for me when I showed them my wooden box full of game receipts. I've cut down a lot. I'm going back and replaying games I've finished, finishing games I got bored with and emulating as much as possible. The only thing I can say in my defense is that I get my games cheap. I only pay full price for Gameboy Advance and DS games, aside from that I haven't paid over $15 for a game since the I got Super Smash Brothers Melee.
I've never had a problem with drug or alcohol addictions, but video games...I think I could stop if I really wanted, but naturally I don't really want to at this point. If I compare my game buying habits to other people's I probably spend a little less than average and as for time spent gaming...it comes and goes in cycles. I'll game addictively for a month or two and then stop for another month or two. Never to the point of affecting my ability to meet my various responsibilities or affecting my social life but it bothers me that during these game binges I stop reading books I'm right in the middle of or lose interest in topics I was eagerly reseraching before.
I've also got a problem with ranting, though I wouldn't quite call it an addiction. I used to do it all the time but eventually I cut back in favor of being concise with what I say. I'll never actually talk this much in real life because words gain power once spoken. For some reason I can't get it out of my head that anything said without full spirit behind it is bound to fall flat and be forever forgotten by the collective conscious. That's another thing, any string of words that anyone ever feels like paying attention to is embedded in their conscious to some degree. It may very well have some minute effect on them. Speaking willy nilly is irresponsible. With the written word it can be interpreted in a few different ways, spoken word is never ambiguous unless the speaker intends it. It's like the difference between a butter knife and a razor blade. It's easier to hit things with a butter knife but it will rarely penetrate. With a razor you're bound to do some damage if it hits and it'll definitely leave a mark if the edge grips into the skin.
I'm done now, more because I've got stuff I feel like doing other than this which I can't do while typing.
