Hello!
I need some advice on an Anita Blake-esque cosplay costume... I am just not sure what to wear! I cannot wear a short skirt for it because I have bad legs so probably pants, but I'm not sure what color/style/etc would be best for an Anita cosplay? Also shirt, shoes, and accessories... If anyone has any ideas on things to wear please let me know! All I know for sure if I am gonna try to make wrist sheaths and probably some other weapon-type accessories.
I was thinking of buying a black RPIT T-shirt from Cafepress to wear but I can't decide... If I do it would be a long/baggy t-shirt most likely (b/c that's the type I normally wear, and that way I would also wear it for "regular" clothes not just cosplay!) and I am not sure if that would look right for an Anita cosplay.
So anyway, any ideas would be appreciated! I am going to be playing an Anita type character in a LARP at a convention coming up and I'd like to wear the costume for that as well It's only Anita-type and not actually Anita because the LARP storyline is set in a boarding school and all the characters are under 18, and Anita is older than that razz

Sorry, it's just... Anita doesn't strike me as a fun character to cosplay. Jean-claude or Jason, maybe, but... I mean, her basic costume is this:
- blue polo shirt
- black jeans
- black Nikes
- cross
- perhaps a RPIT button

Well I mainly wanted it because I'm doing her character for the LARP so I figured I might as well dress like her too...

To bad Halloween is long past or I'd tell you get some cheap fake scars (but only for the visible areas, no need to go overboard if no one is going to see it).

Erm..why not a tank top, denium jacket and jeans? Add black boots and you should be good to go? Maybe paint on a cross for a scar? *shrugs*

Also, I think the outfit she wore int he first volume of the comic was really cute. Red longsleves shirt, a black skirt or black pants, and of course boots. The curled hair would be great, mascara, maybe a little eyeliver, but not much, and of course red lipstick. ^__^ You can probably find a cheap cross at a dollar store. Some of those look decent and have a great price.

um... i fourth that. I have a friend whose a total anita look alike and i've tried to get her to wear contacts and dress as nita but she refuses to. says she doesn't want to be compared to blake... talk2hand
