I just bought the movie and the book. does anyone have an opinion whether i should read the book first before watching the movie? this forum moves so slow that i might have done one or the other before anyone posts 3nodding .

Read the book before you watch the movie!! Always, always, always read the book before seeing the movie. No matter which book and movie combo it is. That being said, happy reading!

well, like in most cases, the book is better than the movie. i think the choice of casting DB as thomas newton was awsome. he was so convincing. i did read the book first, although i dont think it would have mattered either way. heart

I watched the movie first, but then again I was like eight so I'd pretty much forgotten it by the time I read the book. I'd say the movie was better, actually, as Tevis isn't really a great writer and the movie had.....extensive nude scenes.
