Ok, I've just recently gotten back from band camp, and while there, I was lucky enough to see Modo Trio perform live! For those of you who don't know (probably alot of you), they're an Edmonton based jazz(?) band. And just as their name says, they're three guys (bass, drums, trombone) who play really angular, modal stuff. The first song they played was in 7/4 time xd . It's kind of hard to explain what kind of music they play though... It's like jazz/funk/reggae/drum n bass... But yeah, check them out.
