Gelatin is contained in the enamel that hooves and chicken-feet are made out of
I don't know if they kill the animals to get at it or if they just file bits off the feet
But it comes from pieces of animals, which technically makes it meat
But I make an exception for it

I like roasting them
My technique: light them on fire, then let them burn until they burn themselves out
Repeat if not black all over
Of course, that's the lazy way : P
