"Y-yeah, great!" he exclaimed, before lying down and rolling onto his back. Bakari peered up at the fragments of sky that could be seen among the towering trees. "Great.." came a whisper.
The male sighed heavily, before glancing over at Latifu. "H-hey.. I was wondering... supposing we.. did become mates... would you ever want to have children?" he asked. He felt stupid for saying he loved her earlier; Perhaps it was too early to tell her that.

Latifu kept where she was, lying right next to Bakari. A soft breeze flew through the trees, the teal lioness' fluff ruffling a bit as they both seemed to space out a bit.
...until it came crashing down with Bakari. Oh god, he just said whatever he wanted to say, didn't he? She surpressed to urge to smack him, and forced a strained smile. "Umm...little soon? Maybe if your family puts up with me...Bakari..."

"Aheh.. r-right.. sorry.." he said sheepishly, glancing back up at the sky. Stupid, stupid, stupid! What a moron he was! Note to self: think before you speak. He rolled his eyes, before focusing on the sky again.
Memories fluttered back to him, each one causing him to smile and chuckle a bit. Meanwhile, Latifu would probably think he had gone mad!

Perhaps Latifu already thought that he was mad, but he was just ignorant to it. Then again, she kept most of the mean things she thought to himself. If what she said really hurt him, it'd hurt her, too.
"It's fine, Bakari. Besides, I'm getting use to it..." She lowered her head onto the soft earth, mindlessly staring ahead of her, which was nothing but green from the foliage that was around them.

The male smiled at her, just watching Latifu. After a few moments though, he sat up. "E-erh... let's go." he suggested, standing up on all-fours. Once she was up, as well, the two began into the heart of the jungle, where he suspected his family had been residing.
Would they like her? Would she like them? What would his younger brothers and sisters say? He was terrified of their reactions. Bakari felt more nervous as they neared the deeper jungles, and only hoped Latifu would like her new home.. or rather.. their new home. He felt a revitalization of both his emotional character and his physical character. Latifu was definitely the one for him.
End.
