Clayra Aiko_589 che_hyun Aiko_589 but what want to note is womens speech, in your country to speak like a women, you just need to say "like, omg" and wave your hands around sweatdrop O_O 'Like OMG' is prep-talk...and it became uncool about a week after it became cool. If you say this, you're either making fun of preps or you ARE a prep. Prep = (stereotype) Stupid, shallow, wears short skirts (sometimes plaid), cheerleader, mean, bad in school, popular at school but only because she's pretty. we call those whores Good one!! hahaha, i seriously laughed at this one!! rofl Quote: SO YOU WANT TO KILL THAT STEREOTYPE!!!!! To most it may concern, but not all people are like this. Just like in every country, there are smarter people and then there are the monkeys. But now I understand what you were saying.

To most it may concern, but not all people are like this. Just like in every country, there are smarter people and then there are the monkeys. But now I understand what you were saying. Hmm... I don't mean to butt into this conversation, but yeah... I definatly understand where you're comign from about the monkey thing, but only for some people. No offence, but most "ghetto" and "hill billy" type people can act awfully apeish at times, but that's not the whole of America. A lot of people I know are very kind, mannerly, and civilized. I know Japan tends to be much more polite, but that's their culture. America is a mix of many cultures, so it can range from very impolite people/cultures, to very proper, strict, and polite people/cultures. I'm just saying that people should not stereotype over one kind of person. Not all Japanese are polite, but at the same time, many are. Not all Americans are rude, but at the same time, many are. I don't think we ALL act like monkeys though... Too bad those few monkey people ruined America's image. = I definatly would like to help change that perception in Japanese people's minds, if I ever do go to Japan. I try to be a very polite person. =)

Also, you will want to use the ～ないで Form more often, whereas men will often use ～な Form in impolite speech:
あたしに話さないで
Dont talk to me
Guy:
俺に話すな
But since men will often need to be polite as well, this also boils down to:
俺に話さないで
And when women need to be rude:
あんた来るな （来んな）

Its pretty much よね

There are many types right?
And のよ
This is simply の ＋ よ And is just a more feminine way of making a powered statement
じゃあ、どうすればいいのよ
Well, whats is the correct way then?（！）
The male version is んだよ （Remeber の Is contraction of のだ And んだ is also. neither are more girly or boyish, it is only that in colloquially speech men will say んだ Or in polite んです （The latter women do as well) Wheareas women say のです Or の More.
So lets plug in the male：
なんかね
俺の妹、ここに来たんだよ。
you know, my sister came here.

YOU SHOULD NOTE THOUGH, THAT わ IS NOT USE DMUCH ANYMORE, SAVE FOR ON TV!!!!!!!!!!!! PERCISEY WHY YU SHOULD NOT LEARN FROM TV (わよ and わね ARE USED EVEN LESS!)
SO DONT USE THOSE ONE OK? EXCEPT MAYBE OCCASIONLY AFTER じゃない （VERY OCCASIONALY)

Hmm, I've heard a lot of these before...but I don't know how to use them. gonk For instance, can't の be used as a more womanly version of か? And am I right in thinking that ね can just be added to the end of a sentence to make it girlier?
Also, for anyone who didn't get Aiko's point about Americans- she's not necessarily saying that all Americans are dumb. She's saying that it's a Japanese stereotype that all Americans are dumb. As such, Japanese people generally WON'T expect an American to know the customs. So you should LEARN the customs and speak properly and naturally, so that people WON'T think you're just another dumb American.

I speak Spanish so I am used to having to say things differently than men. Thank you for this, I need to learn how to speak like a woman in order to not disrespect anyone.
