Well, I've found a guy who I think I might be interested in.
The trouble is, he's a regular customer, at the store I'm a cashier at.
He's so cute though, and I can't stop thinking about him.
And also, I'm pretty sure that he' gay. I'm not sure why, I jut get this feeling that he is when eh's there, sort of like "gaydar" I guess.
And I'm pretty sure the girl I work with at the registers thinks he is too. When I came out to her by telling her I had a crush on a customer, and it was a guy, she immediaitely described him.
I'd really like to get to know him better, and I've done a few things to make that happen.
Next time he comes to the store, I'm gonna tell the girl I work with to go on a smoke break, so he'll come to my register, and I can try to start a casual conversation with him.
I'm having trouble though. I can't seem to figure out how to break past the typical "customer-clerk" conversation stuff.
What do I do? Someone please help!

Awe.
That's so cute.
I'm not sure how you can start a convo...
Maybe you should just comment on one of the things he's buying. Make it funny. That may break the ice.
It may take a while, but try to talk to him a little at a time. Find out something he likes to do and ask him out.
Don't make it stupid and say, "Will you go out with me".
Make it casual and be like (insisting he likes to rollerskate) "Hey, I Don't have to work this Friday, you wanna go down to the skating ring?"
You can make it a group thing and invite a few other friends also, that would give you two a chance to get confortable with eachother before you have a real date.

Try to see what kind of movies he's into...for example:
"Hey, Man. Did you see that new movie with ____? My friend and I have been having this argument over whether or not he was in ____ as well. You wouldn't happen to know would you?"
If he talks, then you've got an in. Then if you two seem to 'hit it off' invite him and a few other buddies, male and/or female to go get some pizza and watch a movie or two.
You can generally be safe with movies...that way too, you can see if he likes that same kind of movies as you! And have the girl you work with play along as well.
