meh, I'm not really sure why you donate to a guild...as of right now, the gold goes nowhere. I think in the future it will actually be used for something though...but that is just farfetched speculation xp

Either because you have too much gold, and therefore to much spare time, or that you hope the gold will be used for good things 'n' stuff... Something along those lines...
