Name: Mthyril
Nickname: Myth
Gender: Male
Stage: Adult
Pack: Barrens
Parents: Unknown
Sibling(s): None
Mate: Too young >_<
Likes: Scouting, Wondering, Howling, and some playful wrestling
Dislikes: Very loud noises
Freinds:
Enemies: -none for now-

History: From the moment he was born, he's always been a very gentle wolf even though his sarcastic side gives him the appearance that he's mean. Myth doesn't know what happened to his parents or (if he had any) his siblings...only that he's been wondering the different packlands. The only thing he has to go on is the memory of the words 'Find the Barrens pack' echoing in his mind

Personality: Very quiet and sarcastic but when around certain wolves, he's extremely hyper and loves to play pranks. Like his spirit, he can be very kind and will flee at the sight of any danger unless he knows he can stand his ground.

Note: Although Myth is apart of the Barren's pack, from time to time he'll follow Fenris around the lands

Significant Events:
September 27, 2006 ~ Mythril meets another pup and female wolf from the Barrens Pack, the pack he's been searching for

Personality: From the moment he was born, Fenris has been driven with the need to understand how everything works in this world he lives in and because of that, he is very wise. Along with his intellagence, he is a very calm wolf except for when he is asked to something that has nothing to do with books and involves him doing it for the first time. Despite his nervousness, he's very dependable to get through any situation with his cunning and loyalty....of course, making him the proper choice for the role of Shaman.

Personal Quote: "The winds of fate are calling me...."

First Experience as a Shaman

The night sky had begun to lighten into a mixture of pinks and oranges making the misty sky an array of pastel colors. All was silent on the forest and mountainside as each animal seemed to be offering their own silent respect to this wonderful sunrise before them. Fenris paused in his silent musings to himself in the middle of the forest path and stared at the dawn of the new day through his greenish eyes. A new day has begun… he thought to himself with a sigh as he forced his paws back into motion towards his destination. Any other day he would have stopped longer to take the rising sun in as he had started to do since being named Shaman but today just wasn’t any other day. A young female was expecting her first litter and was completely frightened out of her wits about the whole affair. Of course he had agreed to help ease her worries when her mate came pleading to him to be present but the wolf had never stated he was to be present during the birth. That had occurred last week and today was the day she had been predicted to give birth. A sudden gust of wind swirled around Fenris and fluffed his thick purple fur; the gust strong enough to push him a few steps forward. Shuddering, he picked up the pace, knowing that that was hint to stop dilly dallying along the path.

It wasn’t that he hated the fact that he had agreed to be present through the birth when he only thought he would be needed for counseling, it was the fact that he just was completely squeamish when it came to watching someone going through that amount a pain. He had heard others speak of it before and he had decided long ago that he was never ever going to sit around and witness a birthing. He was never to keen to pain in the first place. After watching his demented brother for years using pain and hatred to gain the upper hand at things, in a way, he feared pain; whether it be his own or another’s. Fenris shook his head as the cave he was supposed to be present came into sight. His brother would be mocking him this very moment if he discovered the ‘Great Shaman Fenris’ was beginning to become nervous at the thought of going to a birth. He’d only do it because he saw himself better fitted then Fenris. If his brother were Shaman he’d probably go and poke fun at the female as she struggled with her pain. And that was where all similarity died between the two of them. They were brother and wanted the same thing but they were as different as night and day. He’d never admit to anyone that his nervousness was being egged on by the very memory of his brother.

A sharp howl escaped the mouth of the cave and Fenris winced, twitching his bushy tail nervously.
Be calm, she needs me right now.
Taking a quick breath to calm his nerves and mask his nervousness, he bounded down the path and up the rock slope to the cave. Her silver mate was waiting outside for him and gestured quickly with his paw for Fenris to enter their cave. The wolf was quite young himself and looked just as tense as Fenris felt but words could not be wasted at the moment. Fenris had thought himself early but instead he was fashionably late for this and time was of the essence. He crouched down low and dragged himself into the tight crevice, settling himself beside the grey female as she convulsed and shook slightly from the pain and from her irregular breathing. Her back was to him and she seemed far too preoccupied with the pain she was experiencing then anything else. Her ears twitched when he had finally settled comfortably next to her and she looked up at him, capturing his gaze with her soft brown eyes and he recognized the fear in the brown pools. For the first time in his life, he felt like all the knowledge he had within him could not have prepared him for this moment but he refused to succumb to his confusion and inexperience. Yet, what he wanted most at that very moment was to just close his eyes and block out-

“That’s it! I hope this works…” He muttered, more to himself then the female. Laying his head on her chest and closing his eyes, he began to breathe deeply, slowly, surely; concentrating on listening to her erratic heartbeat. “If you feel my breathing, copy it and listen. Close your eyes and just breathe and listen to my voice. Young one, you are far from here and it is in this place that you will bring these pups into being. The pain is elsewhere…just continue to breathe and concentrate on my voice..."
As he described to her the perfect setting of a peaceful meadow, he felt his own worries and discomfort fade away; like he too was joining her there. In his mind’s eye, he could picture himself standing beside her and instructing her exactly what she had to do from what he had researched however; he didn’t realize until he opened his eyes and glanced down at the three silver and grey puppies suckling at the female’s side that what he had pictured in his mind had actually happened. He stood hunched over her and to his surprise; he didn’t feel the she-wolf’s discomfort and pain any longer as he had when he first arrived nor did he feel his own anxiety. Fenris had felt like he had talked her into relaxing but at the same time did so to himself. Ignoring the confused look in his green eyes, the she-wolf glanced up at him again with her soft blue eyes and wagged her tail happily.
"Thank you..." She whispered as she licked his muzzle gently.

After saying his quick goodbyes to the new parents and watching the spectacle of the couple rejoicing their miracle and then choosing names for their puppies, Fenris took his leave. Trotting down the rocky slope towards the forest path he had traveled earlier, he allowed himself to drown in his thoughts as he usually did. He walked with his head held gallantly in the air and swayed his tail with a newfound respect for himself. If he could overcome this obstacle, what other obstacles could he triumph over to prove his worth as Shaman of the pack and prove to his brother he was the right choice? Fenris stared at the afternoon sky and threw back his head, letting out a joyful howl at his success. The howl was soon joined by the happy new parents and other wolves in the area that were congratulating them.
Everything down this path I travel will be alright after all Fenris thought to himself as the wind suddenly rose again and swirled around him. His feather earring dangling from his ear rocked gently in the gale and he closed his eyes, feeling as if he were floating away with the afternoon breeze. Smiling to himself, he continued onward towards whatever future lay ahead of him.
