Heh, i so don't get parents..well parents like that. I have 2 kids, ages 12 and 11, and my thoughts have always been (and i've always told them) if they are good people, respectable, get good grades or at least try their best...i could really care less what they choose to wear, how they wear/color their hair..and later if they get piercings or tats...hell, i have 3 tatts and 6 piercings of my own (ears twice, eyebrow and tongue). I think parents...are just too stressed/miserable and take it out on thier kids..it's terrible...jmho sweatdrop

I've been thinking about getting a tattoo to frame the scar on my right hand. It looks like a butterfly, and I've had it since I was four. I'm working on a portfolio, so I can go find someone to take me as an apprentice. This is one I just made for a friend, to symbolize her little sister, who was born without a right hand. That's why that fin is shorter.

Well I have 3, My late grandmas name in chineese, a Trivium one and a pheonix rising from a heart with "I dream in colour because I live in black and white" written above it.
My advice to anyone wanting a tatto is to think long and hard about what you want and don't get one unless it has a meaning to you.

Wow, that is a really cool design.
And yeah, you definatly need to think about it a long time. I've seen too many people who get something then regret it and have to find a way to cover it up with another tattoo.
My friend is apparently lucky in that even though her tattoos have no specific meaning she loves them.
