This movie comes out on dvd on the 27th of June. It is 97minutes long, and stars Milla Jovovich (from the Resident Evil movies, and The Fifth Element).
First of all, the special features are lacking for a so-called special extended edition. They include previews for other movies, a brief making of featurette, and a commentary from Ms. Jovovich.
Secondly, the movie itself is not very good. The CG graphics aren't comparable to most new video games out there and really serve no purpose. The movie itself doesn't have a lot of dialogue, focusing mainly on action sequences, which sometimes isn't a bad thing.
Here it is though. The movie is PG-13, and could have gotten a PG rating to be honest. The scenes conveniently black out or use awkward angles to portray the action, so you never really see any of the fights. It boils down to a group of men in armor standing around the main character, a close up of her moving, and everyone falling dead, though with no blood, even when they are stabbed with a sword.
It has a generic story about a disease that creates a vampiric sub race of people, who are granted increased senses, speed and strength, but die 12 years later, and humanity's attempt to get rid of them.
All in all, it was a waste of 97minutes watching, it didn't even impress my eleven year old sister, and makes me wonder, if this was the extended edition, how long was the theatrical release, the length of a primetime drama?
