In terms of liking yaoi, or shonen-ai, how far does that go for you? I was both suprised and slightly offended when I was with a fellow yaoi-lover and we passed by a real-life gay couple and she said "ew. that's gross." I was thinking WTF?! If you like Yaoi, how can you say that? One of the reasons I love Yaoi and shonen-ai is that it shows that people can appriciate gay couples. I totally support them! It just confused me how she could obsess with it and when she saw it in real life, to shun and almost insult it. Just curious for other thoughts.

hm... no one seems to be here anymore. So let me rephrase this, if it's okay in a book, shouldn't it be okay in real life? And if you don't like it I don't think you need to involve yourself with it.

You know what, this is actually a good question. I find many people don't mind anime gay stuff but don't like when real people are gay. I myself am 100% for the gays in anime/manga and in real life, seeing as I myself am bi and hang out with gay males.. no joke all 3 of them are gay, it's kinda scary. Two of which are dating each other and I think it's cute.
There is not much difference between real life and fiction, though some people think otherwise. sweatdrop
