Well, this is my second suggestion. It may not be as good as my first, but I love going to the Renaissance Fest every year! A features that I was thinking of include the following:
1. Archery Range
2. Large mazes
3. Most believable outfit and personality of the Olden Times Contest
4. Fairy Picnic (Dress as a fairy and it's free. Only availabe to those who dress like a fairy)
5. Jousting Competition (ofcourse n the Arena, wich will be designed as a coliseum)
6. Belly dancer/ Gypsy Competition (will be held on the Gypsy Court wich is basicly a large, round block of cement with stands surrounding it. Atleast twice as small as the Coliseum)
7. Flower Gardens
8. The exotic foods, desserts, and beverages of the Olden times.
9. Shooting Range (Antique Artilery guns with poor aim. XD)
10. A horse pin for little children to ride ponies and a five acred section for the more daring teenagers or adults. All horse tamed and highly skilled in riding.
11. Camping Grounds.
I know it's alot, but these are just some ideas I thought of. All of these things are at the Real Renaissance Festival. I should kno, I've been going every year since I was three. XD It will last one or two weeks, wich is about half the length as the Actual Festival but there are other events that need to be held.

I love this idea o_o
Though I'll warn you about the mead at Ren Fest.... It's not real mead and quite frankly tastes.... well bad.
As a side note, if you want real good mead, try Chaucer's (it comes with packets of mulling spices that make it the best), or Redstone Meadery with vanilla and cinnamon. Black Snake isn't bad either but you need to figure out which of theirs you like. Chaucer's you can pick up at any World Market and Redstone and Black Snake in most Wine shops.

*shrug* Sounds like fun, there's always something to do at the ren. fair weather its walking around or having fun playing games.
