Knights without armor means they are super strong and can fight without needing the protection of armor andways Yuber is hot without armor unless you have an armor/knight fetish.

Well, I just so do happen to have an armor fetish, thankyouverymuch. I mean, how can one resist that sexiness, the magical clink, the reflection of the sun's fair light, and the dignified appearance of a proper man in full-body armour? I mean, Gatrie, Fire Emblem 9... So hot. And Gabranth, Bergan, Zargabaath, and Ghis from FFXII? Oh God - I'd hit it. Not sure about Drace though... not so sure what was going on downstairs with those hip plates...
Luca was a sexy beast as well. Those armor plates are as big as me. Vox from Star Ocean 3 had s**t going for him as well. Not only did he wear some sexy armor, but all his men - s**t, everyone in Airyglyph did - wore armor too! God, I could just go on. But the point - Armor is really sexy.

Wish I could find some cheap somewhere. I think I'll call Best Buy. They have everything.

I don't have an armor fetish in the least yet I liked him better in armor... Like alot better... Actually I hated when he lost it. If he was trying to hide his identy I rekon he'd have done so in 2 as well. The reasons I think they changed his outfit was 1) to show a significant amount of time had passed (who goes over 10 years wearing the same thing?) and 2) that was the beginning of the suikoden's 'trying to be more like FF phase...' So they had to change the look with the feel. (As well as letting you only do 3 commands a turn, going 3d, and horrible HORRIBLE amounts of random battles...)

No. No no no.

The only reason he got a wardrobe update in S3 was for the simple fact that no one in Konami felt like making a 3D model for an armor-decked Yuber/Pesmerga. This is probably the reason as to why both of them haven't appeared in S4-S5.
All the more reason to return to sprites in 6 3nodding

Or we could keep it in 3D, make the graphics shinier, and hope that more people will buy it due to the better graphics, boosting Konami's revenue with the Suikoden series, which would make them hurry the ******** up with Suikoden VII.

Honestly, the only company I can think of that gets away with making console games with sprites is Nippon Ichi. And that's 'cause they're awesome.

Depends what you mean by 'get away with.' Plenty of games do sprites really well, but don't end up very successful. I think Suikoden could do something SIMILAR (not the same, since it would be laughed at) as the Paper Mario series. I always have a fondness towards characters drawn in 2 dimensions as oppose to 3d. Well, in some things anyway, suikoden being one of them (Zelda and Metal Gear stay 3d).

I don't think graphics will draw more people to Suikoden. The shinier the graphics get the more people will compare it to FF and how supposedly "superior" FF is. If anything giving itself a more distinct angle like being the only RPG that looks like an interactive anime during gameplay would draw more of a crowd.

I don't care what graphical path it goes down, so long as the damn plots stay good... unlike the most recent installment of the Suikoden series... I personally prefer 3D, but the 2D graphics from 1 and 2 were pretty endearing...

I agree about that, preferance aside as long as Konami puts quality where it counts it really doesn't matter how it looks.

...Hmmm I wonder how Suikoden 6 would do as an action rpg?

I would be VERY happy with that. I feel more in control with those.

Just as long as the battle system doesn't suck though. But if it's similar to Tales of the Abyss... FREE RUN BITCHES. FREE RUN.
