The smallest town in the Johto region, New Bark Town was the starting point for many Johto Pokemon trainers before the Dark Pokemon Wars. During the War, the town's small size served to allow it to escape complete destruction at the hands of the Forbidden, though most of the surrounding forest was burned to the ground in the early years of the war.

During the League Wars, stragglers from the Rebel invasion of Kanto accidentally found their way to New Bark Town, but left and returned to the larger war without incident. That was the extent of Johto's involvement in the League Wars.

New Bark Town....once a place flourishing with men, and now left with nothing but memories of the past war. Such a sad ending was always the start of new beginnings, and this would bring along an ambition that will one day consume the world in the form of a single being. With the appearance of what appeared to be a few pyreflies, something came into view, a man wielding a staff in his right hand with a orb that was affixed in place by some mystical hold that wasn't seeable. This guado had eyes of one who probably had not see many happy days, showing a expression of one who maybe disliked the existence of all life around him. Yet, it matter not. He came for one reason, yet this was not by his own will, but the will of another who rested inside of him.

A legendary guado who long ago wanted to take over the entire world in a different realm, but unfortunately failed. But now, he was given another chance, and this time, he was going to make sure he succeeded. The man stood afar from the battle scene upon a cliff, but already, he would begin preparations to apprehend this "Sin" for his own personal gains, his staff rising into the air as swirls of magic cover his body.

"I call upon the one of ice and to come forth and grant me your power to subdue this creature. And I call upon the one of the dimensional forces to bring your power to capture this enemy. Shiva, Maduin, I summon you!"

A womanly figure descends from the sky as ice formulates as her platform right behind the guado. A form of light appears to the opposite side of the guado, a standing wolf like figure rising from this magical portal into view, standing twelve feet tall, its purple eyes gazing forward across the waters toward the Sin creature. With the two now present, the staff returns to the ground as the guado starts to chuckle, his voice sounding more omnivocal, meaning it was composed of two voices instead of one.
