Everyone has a boyfriend. Everyone's having sex. Blah blah blah. Everyone who doesn't have a boyfriend wants one, and if they don't they are considered socially awkward.
Well ******** that. =( Girls are idiots if they think they can find happiness with a guy right now. All they want is to get laid, and that's just a fact. The ones that don't want that are usually too awkward or they're already taken.
But what's the point? This is college. We're preparing for life. And I can't believe I'm the only one who doesn't want to give my life and my independence away to some p***s-bearing asswipe.
I know I'm not the "only one". But there are so many girls who turn their Stupid Switches on for guys. So many girls who are here just to find a husband, I think. So many girls who link their self-worth to the attention a guy pays them.
I used to think it was strange that I have no desire whatsoever to have a boyfriend. It's so low on my list of priorities that it hangs onto the bottom edge for dear life. Can I really be one of the only girls who's pretty much determined not to have one because I know that I'm already awesome and I don't need a man to tell me that? How is it that I'm the only one with a true sense of confidence in myself? Definitely not social confidence, lawl, definitely sometimes not even confidence in myself but I always know that I can do whatever I want if I really want it. I know that my life is my own and that I will make it great because I'll be able to support myself by myself. That means none of that silly marraige crap! mad
Why is it that I'm the only one who doesn't melt when speaking to a boy, who doesn't turn into an idiot? Why am I the only one who knows I'm just too good for a man? Why is it I'm the only one who knows I've got too much to offer to the world to waste it on a man?
*shrug* Whatever. When people are getting STD's and dying after living unhappy, awkward lives in their illusionist relationships, well, we'll see who's partying it up then.
I think that one day I would want to be with someone, but that only comes after I make sure that I'm happy with my life. And if someone truly loves me for who I am and if I truly love him for who he is, and we want to make each other's lives awesome, then there you'd have it. Perfection in a little nutshell.

That's nice. It's good that you don't want a boyfriend for the sake of having one. Some girls are stupid like that.

I totally agree with you. You have perfectly articulated my thoughts on the matter. It reminds me of all these ads for dating websites and things like that, they seem to imply that people's lives are meaningless if they don't find "the one" or get married or whatever. And I'm always hearing people whining that they need a boy/girlfriend, I'm sorry, you don't need a boy/girlfriend, you want one because the rest of your life is boring and monotonous and you think that by getting a boy or girlfriend this will somehow change, well it won't! Get some ******** independance!
