Night.
As many of the Unity Walkers were bound in sleep and taken hostage within the wakes of dreams, Ororo'Lisani laid wide awake.
Orcher orbs drifted round about his surroundings as he slowly, deafly, staggered up to all fours. Outstretching his forepaws slightly and stretching his aching back, the young adolescent yawned slightly and rubbed the side of his face against his leg.
Awaking at night time had become a common ritual for Ororo'Lisani. Because few knew of the newfound relationship between the godess, Kiva, and the adolescent, Ororo, both had found that a nightly visitation was the best and, so far, the only option where the two could find downtime with one another and bond more closely as mates. He had given his heart to her long ago and, now as her mate, Lisani felt invigorated and full of newfound energy that coarsed through his veins. He loved her! And she him!
Smiling, Ororo glanced about once again and began padding towards the waterfall underneath the full moons light.
Creeping within the shadows and the confines of night, it didn't take long for Ororo to meander towards the waterfall and slip behind towards the cave where his mate and her cubs resided. With it being so late and, more than likely, the cubs asleep Lisani carefully entered and began padding towards the back of the cave.
"Kiva..." he whispered softly with a calming purr, ears flickering with curiosity as he press onwards.

Kiva stirred restlessly near the back of the den, wondering if tonight would bring a visit from her beloved mortal companion, born of the union between Earth and Sky. Had she ever imagined when founding this pride that she'd fall for one of it's members? No, she hadn't, but she surely wouldn't change a thing now that events had already unfolded to bring them where they were now. She hoped that some day Kiamba would understand, but... it wasn't brawn and infatuation that her heart longed for, though she could never doubt that Kiamba was a good man.
"Ororo..." She smiled, her voice a soft purr as well. She glanced down to her cubs sleeping at her side before very carefully pulling away from the pile where her son and two daughters still slept. The goddess tucked her wings to her side and overstepped the little ones, moving forward quickly to meet her mate, her eyes delighted to see him. With a louder purr, she buffeted her head against his, letting it roam down his neck to his shoulder.

A warm smile curled upon his maw as the sweet voice of his godess, his beloved mate Kiva, called out to him. Padding closer as he carefully stepped in such a manner as not to stir nor awaken the slumbering cubs, the adolescent grinned a bit wider as a purr sounded from the depths of his chest.
"How are you and the cubs doing, love?" He remarked as he nuzzled against her, their heads pressing against one anothers as his orbs settled upon those of his mates. Drawing his muzzle down towards her nose, Ororo planted a tender kiss upon it and swayed his head across his maw and towards the right, down and up along her back.
It had always felt so right to be in the presence of a godess or a god but, finding that their love had grown to consume their hearts in such a passion, Lisani reveled in every moment he spent with her. Just to be with her, to partake of her scent and to be near her made his heart thump wildly within his chest and even made him feel weak.
Kiva and her cubs meant the world to him.

Her eyes slid shut in contentment as their greeting eased into the comfortable intimacy of his visit, savoring this time of night that had become so special to both of them.
"They're doing well... they're growing and learning almost faster than I expected." She smiled softly, feeling only a small pang of guilt as she realized that Kweupe was missing out on watching his offspring grow-- but he'd been in search of family elsewhere. She didn't feel that way for him, nor did he for her, so it was for the best that they didn't complicate things, and besides, she couldn't do that to Ororo. She didn't want him to be uncomfortable by having another male around, even if she and Kweupe weren't like that.
There was no room for this distress tonight though, and her fluttering remorse quickly passed as she circled past him and came around on his other side so that they stood almost shoulder to shoulder, her eyes drifting to the three sleeping children. Like little angels...
"They'll be old enough to leave the den soon, and move to solid food." She purred softly, moving towards the pile. Chamchela was sprawled on her back between her sister and brother, one wing lying spread on the floor, the other tucked over her belly for warmth. She appeared be dreaming, for even in her sleep she was making faces, twitching ever so slightlyl.
Kiva's dusty amethyst eyes roamed over the youngest next, who slept more peacefully than her sister, and then lastly their older brother Mevudevunde, her little prince. He looked so much like his father... it pained her at times, but she loved him no less, maybe she loved all three of them more than any other mother could love her children. She would do all that she could to make up to them the lack of having their biological father, and beyond that Ororo was going to be, in her eyes, a better father figure than Kweupe could be. She was sure the male lord of the skies was a dedicated male when he WANTED to be, but their time together... he'd seemed very aloof and distant, traits that her son showed without meaning any harm. Ororo just seemed capable of nothing but giving.
Kiva turned her head, looking to her mate lovingly, eyes full of adoration and pride. She was so proud of him, so grateful, and so very much in love... he didn't have to do any of the things he did, least of all caring so much for cubs that weren't his own, forgiving her after all the things she and Kiamba had put him through, and staying with her, loving her anyway.

Glimpsing behind her to where the small godlings slumbered, a warm smile curled upon his maw. "Well they do take after their mother," he commented as he settled his ocher orbs back upon her.
Just thinking about what was in store for the future of the three cubs seemed too much to fathome! These were new gods and godesses that would take a position within the Unity Walkers. They still had yet to learn how to fly and pratice the daily routines of every cub; pouncing, exploring and getting into mischief. Oh yes, Ororo was rather excited to play around and interact with the cubs. Though he was only a surrogate father to the three, that would never stop him from acting as a fatherly figure and helping Kiva make sure that their needs would be accounted for and taken care of.
"Seems like they're growing faster every day," he mused with a smile as he brushed against the side of his mate, a soothing purr emitting from his chest. "I can't wait to play around with them...I- I just want to be a father and maybe helping raise these cubs will make me be a better father for when we will have our own cubs."
Ororo was anxious to begin his duties but, never the less, he was excited. Maybe he could learn a few tricks from the young godlings or, perhaps, they could teach him how to fly? Well-- or at least help him experience flight since that was one of the things that any mortal always wanted to experience for themselves.
Chuckling softly, Lisani nuzzled his head against his mates side of his head and peered towards the cubs.
"I can't wait."

"You're going to make a wonderful father. You're a natural." Kiva purred with certainty, shutting her eyes again and pushing her head gently but firmly against his. I can hardly wait either, to see their handsome and beautiful little faces. She smiled, lifting her head enough to groom affectionately at Ororo's ear and mane with her tongue.

A mild blush seemd to wash over Lisani's face as Kiva purred softly into his ear, her sweet words drowning his thoughts. "I'm ready to teach them everything but I think you're the best candidate to teach them flight, love. I'm not equipped with the right tools to teach the godlings how to soar through the skies," he chuckled softly as he too pressed his head against that of his mates.
Fatherhood.
It would be another adventure and certainly an experience that would help prepare him for when he and Kiva would have their own family of their flesh and blood. It was all to exciting and the thought of being able to help raise the three new godlings alongside Kiva only made him want to aspire to something higher.
Delicately licking his mates muzzle and purring softly, Ororo smiled warmly.
"I love you, Kiva."

Kiva's smile was soft, full of fondness, and she returned the kiss with one of her own to his muzzle.
"I love you too..." She purred, nuzzling her head against his, purring getting louder. "They'll be alright for a little while... Let's go for a walk?"

As his mate planted a tender kiss upon his muzzle, Ororo smiled warmly as a flush of pink seemed to wash over his cheeks. The feelings that his mate stirred within him were unfathomable! It was the sensation that he could do possibly anything!
Chuckling softly as he too pressed his head against that of his mates, Lisani purred deep from his chest. "A stroll underneath the full moon? Sounds perfect."
Slowly the young adolescent began heading towards the opening of the waterfall with a careful step, making sure not to awaken the slumbering cubs. Yeilding by the mouth of the cave, Ororo looked back towards his mate with a smile and awaited for her to proceed.
"Ready, love?"

"Hmmm..." The goddess purred, moving into step alongside Ororo, wandering outside of the den while keeping away from the general direction where the pride slept. There was a bit of a perk to her steps as the female went, her tail reaching for his.

Ocher orbs glistened with the light that rained down from the full moon, rejuvinated and brilliant as they settled upon his mate. Even under the moons immaculate light Kiva held a radiant glow that even the sun nor moon could stand against. She was perfect and their love's passion was able to kindle greater since they had realized that they had fallen head over paws for one another.
Casually strolling alongside the godess while he was careful to stray away from the area where the pride slumbered, Ororo grinned as his tail seemed to entwine with hers, wrapping tight as they continued to pad within the silence of the night.
"A perfect night," he remarked with a soothing purr, "to take a stroll under the full moon. I'm glad we can have some time alone."

"Me too," Came the purred reply, Kiva brushing her head against his lightly again. Once they'd crossed the lake she took a moment to step away, shaking her fur dry, giggling quietly. It felt so secretive to be sneaking out of her den, away from the cubs, away from the pride, with no one but the moon above and the stars to see what they were doing.

((So behind! Sorry for the extreme lag, Tahj! <3333))
The young adolescent blushed mildly as Kiva tenderly brushed up against him, a small grin curling upon his maw as ocher eyes gazed at his mate. Ambling across the lake, Ororo tensed slightly as the cool waters lapped up over his body and breached higher. It was a welcoming, brisk sensation yet he wasn't too fond of the chills that seemed to stir within him. Or perhaps these chills were the result of actually being alone with his lover rather than the cold? Sometimes love even makes the strangest fears tremble and makes one uncertain.
But Ororo knew with his heart, mind, and soul that he would forever be entwined in passion with Kiva and no other lioness or goddess could steal his heart away.
Stepping out onto the dry ground, Ororo'Lisani stepped to the side and tried to shake off what water he could from out of his fur. Sighing softly as he glanced over towards the goddess, Lisani chuckled softly and padded beside her. "So what mystery will the night be a witness to?" He soothingly whispered with a hint of mischief drawn in his voice. Nuzzling underneath her chin, the young adolescent rumbled with affection.
"Where to start?"
