I haven't been on Gaia in ages now. Have we already discussed the similarities of Kefka and Sephiroth. I was listening to someone aruge why FF 7 wasn't all that great. I thought it was a decent game, but I do have to agree that most of the ideas in it weren't original. But after awhile I imagine it's kinda difficult to come up with something completely original. Anyhow... The one thing that came to mind after seeing polls and debates about who the best FF boss was. Is why the crap does Sephiroth keep winning. He's like Fragments of Kefka... Maybe noone played FF 6

Kefka went insane after being infused with magic drained from espers.
Sephiroth went insane after being infused with mako energy drained from the earth.

Kefka destroyed the world, using the ulitmate magic from the goddess statues and tortured it's inhabitants.
Sepiroth tried to destroy the world using the ultimate spell, but failed because Kefka was better at it. (personal opinion biggrin )

They both were members of a military force.

Kefka chased around the emperor of the Empire with bolt 3, zapped him, and then kicked him off the floating island.
Sephy stabbity stabbed everyone, in the shinra building, except the guy that would later make an appearence in a movie, and the cabal of soliders we had to pick on for exp.

They both had wings... then again the first FF boss had wings. Maybe these two are his children.

Kefka had a tower, and a cult that worshiped him.
Sephiroth has... fans to worship him?

Sephiorth killed Aeris
Kefka poisoned Doma castle killing everyone but Cyan. He also tortured men, women, children, babies, animals, espers, while ripping the world apart and laughing all the way, but he didn't stab any main characters, so I guess everone overlooks all that.

They both have very memorable battle music. Hard to say which one I like best.

I suppose Sephiroth wins because he didn't look like a clown, but clowns cause some people nightmares. Prettyboys like Sephy just get raped in fan fiction.

Well thats all I can come up with. I'm sure theres something else, but I haven't played either game in about 6 years.

Haha. Not b*****d sons of Chaos. Very well. I forget how many FF bosses had wings. Didn't finish 2 or play 3 and 5... never finished 8 or 9 either ; ;

I've seen the end boss of 2 (screen shots, since the game was terrible) and it was the upper half of a warrior with a giant axe (no wings). 3 was a evil cloud thingy (or mist of some sort) but yet again, no wings.

Also, I thought I'd mentionthis for fun:

Although Sephiroth stabs Aeris, Kefka gets stabbed by Celes, so there IS a stabbing in FFVI, just not by Kefka himself (besides, he used magic to wipe out foes).

And it wasn't Bolt 3 to hit Ghestal, it was just a bolt of magic from the statues.
