He is a Canadian poet/singer. Poet first. His stuff is amazing. I'm studying his work in Canadian Literature, one of the coolest classes. Some of his most famous pieces are Bird on the Wire, Famous Blue Raincoat, and Hallelujah (was on the Shrek soundtrack, sung by Rufus something)
