Safari's Introduction
A little tan and black spotted lump moves in the plains. A face with two black stripe on it lifts up to look at the surrounding. The ears twitch on top of the fillies head. Safari could hear the sounds of a near by herd, the little ones ears wilted alittle. The young one didn't see her mother anywhere, where had she gone? thought the filly.
*His black head rose from the ground where he had been grazing. Shifting a bit he stepped forward toward teh cheeta like filly. Walking closer he lowered his head again and sniffed at her. His bangles covering the only what patch on his black hide. The white over his left eye. Shadow Wind, nickered softly to the filly before raising his head looking arund to see if she had parents or was left alone like he had been so long ago. Stomping the ground with an obsidian hoof he turned a little, still watching the cheetah like filly.*
Safari looked up to the dark colored stallion. Her ears perked towards him, listening. Then with her eyes she looked around. The little filly softly whines, "I don't know where my parents are, or my herd for that matter?" Her ears lowered alittle as she looked up to the black stallion.
*Shadow Wind shook his head a little pawing at teh ground.* "What herd are you from little one?" He asked stepping around the young filly. *He did happen to know just about where all the herds where, well the cimmaron and Native herds anyways. Looking around his black ears perked up, listening.* "What's your name?" He asked finally, "Mine's Shadow Wind."
Hidalgo still raced across the valley with sweat glistening his coat and he turned a sharp left although he stayed perfectly balanced. The paint galloped faster as to try and reach a personal goal but they were mainly all impossible. He looked forward with his mane and tail whipping the wind and his coat shined under the sun's rays. That was when he caught site of a dark colored stallion and a cheetah looking foal. Everything was weird for him but he slowed down to a trot and came near to them.
Safari blinked, "I don't know, some two legs came and chased my herd in different directions. I don't know where they went, I do know my mother told me to say in the dry grass as the lead the creatures away." The filly looked up to Shadow Wind, and wobbling to her feet unsteady she answers, "Safari, is my name. It is nice to met you..." her ears flew towards the sound and sight of a Paint heading towards them.
"Hmmm. I was just with my herd or a few of them anyways. I've been out searching for others of the cimmaron herd. I worry of my adoptive mother." He said lowering his head a little. "Maybe your parents are with her. Come on." He said nudging the small filly a little. "And it's nice to meet you too Safari."
Safari brightned alittle she nodded in the prospect of finding her family. "I would enjoy that, Thank you Shadow Wind." she nickered thanks to the black stallion. "I hope they did get away from those evil two legged creatures." She pawed at the ground with a small hoof.
"I'm sure they have. If I know humans, they'll give up if they ca't catch you. Come on. lets go find everyone." He said walking back in the direction she had most likely come from. "If there are still humans around I'll make them hurt."
Safari walked beside Shadow Wind. Her head bobbing up and down in a steady motion as she followed his directions. The black markings under her eyes absorbed the light that came towards her eyes. "How many humans have you seen in your life?" She asks after a couple moments.
*Shadow looked down toward the foal, then back forward again.* "Too many. They happened to be the ones that caused me to be an orphan." He muttered looking away. *Shaking his head agian he lowered his head forward, eyes looking around.*
"ohh, I'm sorry." Safari whispered lowering her head in sorrow. She looked to Shadow with one eye and then back to infront of them. The little filly fell quite again, this time she just walked and her ears twitched in all directions.

Safari meets Esperanza
*Esperanza looked back at her home. It had been devestated. The humans had brought it. The humans brought all the pain she felt. She whinnied loudly. Almost like a growl. She was angry, and she wanted things to know. She stopped screaming, her throat raw. And a silent tear crept down her cheek*
Safari's head popped up at the sound of the a distant scream. Looking to Shadow Wind, the little foal kicked up some dirt as she bound off towards the spot the scream had came. Sweat gleamed on the cheetah colored coat of the filly as she ran.
*Esperanza breathed heavily, and fell upon her knees. Condor had gone missing, and now, she, was left alone to deal with the merciless things. She knew they needed a stallion, but the stallions have all come an gone. She groaned.*
The wind whipping her mane and tail behind her, Safari galloping at a steady rate came to see a spot where a herd must move through alot. Her hopes raised, but then destruction came to her line of sight. The young filly skidded to a stop not to far from a mare on her knees. Safari blinked back tears.
*Esper looked up quickly. Her eyes quickly dried of pain, and she smiled sweetly to the little filly* Don't worry my child. It is okay. I am just not feeling well is all.*she said, hoping the little one didnt catch the pain in her voice*
Safari looked to the mare, a questioning look to her eyes. "I hope you feel better." She replies not catching much from the mare's voice. Safari stepped alittle closer to the downed mare.
*Esperanza stood, her massive body rising. She walked to the filly and smiled* Whats your name darling?
Safari looked up to the mare, "Safari," with the scent on the mare she noticed Shadow Wind must now her, "Do you know Shadow Wind?" she asked tilting her head to the side alittle.
*Esper's eyes widened. She nodded, smiling.*
Yes I do. He's my son. Do you know him?
Safari nodded. "Yes, Shadow Wind found me..." Her head lowered, "Where my mother left me." She looked back up to the mare, "She and the rest of my herd was chased away by humans riding our kind." She said her eyes narrowing.
*Esper's mind fell to the time she ran. She had run away from the two-leggeds, and lost some of the herd to them. One of them, had been a spotted female. She shook her head, lowering it*
Im sorry young one.. Im afraid your mother has been taken.
Safari, blinked as her head sank low to the ground. That was what she had feared, looking up to the mare, she remembered her manners. "ummm....What is your name, mother of Shadow Wind?" she asked going with what she had learned with the time she had spent with her mother.
*Esper looked to the filly* My name is Esperanza. But my true friends can call me Esper. You may call me Esper*she said, nuzzling the filly.*

Continued Introduction
*Shdow had followed the filly toward the call, he answered before he caught sight of Esper. Skidding to a stop he trotted over nuzzling against her. His eyes closed.* "There you are Mother. I was worried that something had happened to you." He said looking at Esper again. "I see you've met Safari." *Shadow looked around, a familiar scent caught his nose and it was starting to lure him away from Esper, but he wanted to make sure that his mother was safe from any harm.*
Safari felt Esper nuzzle her, this brought the little fillies head up. "Thank you Esper," she smiled, despite the feeling of emptiness that filled her soul. The filly made it her destiny to be sure never to come a pawn of humans, no matter their belief on horses.
*Esper looked over to the Filly* Yes darling. Youre welcome.
*She looked at Shadow, seeing him leave. She went to walk towards him, but stopped. He was on amission.*
*Shadow stopped and looked back at his mother. He smiled and winked at her. He hoped that she knew what he meant by it. He had found himself someone and he was going to her. Looking forward again he picked up the pace to a gallop and went toward Snow's scent. He whinnied as he drew closer.*
Safari tilted her head to the side. Wonder what the wink was about? She thought, the looked over to Esper. The filly didn't know what to do, this was different for her some how, now that her family seemed to be seperated from her.
*Esper looked towards the filly and smiled* So..How old are you?
Safari, looked to the sky a moment. "A couple months, was beginning to actually eat and graze with the rest of the herd." She said, looking over to Esper.
Spirit trotted back to his herd and only found a massacre that lead to humans. He had guided Rave and Kami's kids back to them and found only destruction. His head turned to and fro to see if he could spot anyone near but there was only anger swelled up for the humans. In the distance he caught site of his mom and what would seem a leopard. The buckskin's ears flattened until he got closer to see it was a filly. "Hi mom, what's happened do you know?" Then he turned his head to the filly and asked, "Who may you be young one?"
Safari had seen the buckskin male coming at a quick pace with his ears down. She had back up a bit, she was confused by the actions, but shrugged when asked her name. "Safari, sir." she answered with a gently nicker, "And...you?" she asked noticing him calling Esper mom like Shadow Wind.
*Esperanza looked to Spirit. She had sadness now. Her eyes were sad and worn. She managed a small smile.*
My son.. Look at the mess this time..
