Welcome Rune, a Fable whose diary is recorded by Ryugen. Events will unfold as the Fable travels on his journey, and will only be recorded by the current owner, and none other.
Rune is based off of the fable of the Selkie, of Scottish Origin.

The Riddle and the Rune
What an amazing place it is around here. I'm so glad I came back to see my freind Ravji. I was still being a seal....and sort of I probably should have waited to come back...but I had this funny feeling, like one of those itches you get right between your shoulders that you can't really itch no matter how hard you scratch and rub...and it said I should go be with Ravji. Ravji's a great freind, but he's very serious. He always forgets to do important things like playing. He's too serious. He medidates a lot. I always remember more when I'm around him though...like the time.... Oh I forget. Anyway i remember more things when i'm around him.
Where was I? Oh yes....I went to see Ravji. I left the ocean a little early and went to find him. I put my seal skin over my shoulders to keep it safe. It's warm too, because it's part of me. It feels nice and safe to be near it. Ravji is smart. I think he understands that. I wonder if he has something that feels safe to be near too?
There was a lot of walking and I would have rather been swimming, but I found Ravji. Well I didn't find Ravji right off. A bird girl fell out of the sky first. She hit a tree. That wasn't fun and she said it hurt. I asked her. She didn't do it on purpose either. She must me smart too. Silly people do things on purpose that hurt them. Anyway...she knew Ravji. She shouted for him when she fell down and he came. Isn't that nice of him? They were looking for someone that they knew, but I hadn't seen them. I said I'd help though. It sounded like such an adventure...And it is! We were talking about it and a -huuuuuuuuuuge- wolf came out of the woods. It was as big as an ORCA. And it told two riddles. Ravji answered the first one, because he's good with that sort of thing. And me? -I got the second!-. I was so proud! See what being around Ravji can do for you? The answer was a dream....I'll have to remember that. Maybe I can be almost as smart as Ravji someday.....wouldnt that be something? Maybe I can teach Ravji how to play more then....
Wow....what an adventure. And we've met two new people too. I can't wait to know more about them!

Water Through the Dam - What an exciting place! there's so many people, though I haven't met anyone else who likes the water as much as I do. I started making a dam though, so i could really swim. The waters nice and cold, it will feel so nice if I'm here when I'm a seal. It won't be the same as the sea, it's not salty enough, or frothy and full of things and moods. But it's good water. Just very small and very not the ocean. I met some very interesting people though, and Riddy was there again. Some of the interesting people were a girl with really long ears, she said "ne" a lot and bounced really really high! And there was a boy who had ears and tail like a ships cat. And someone who dressess like oriental traders, the ones with pretty bright things. The girl with the ears said the other boy...his bame was....Bijin I think....stole words from her people, but I didn't think you could steal words. Because you sort of give them to other people so that they understand you. Riddy kind of agreed with me. She also agrees with me that stealing is bad.
I hope no one steals from me. I'd be so lost without my skin.

Cycles and Tides I went back to the sea for a while. Thats something selkies do. Being away was lonely, even if there were good adventures. I don't remember everyone as well though. Things sort of slip away when you're not paying attention. Why is that I wonder? Are memories like tides or rocks? Do they stay where you put them or do they flow away? Someone said once there are rocks that can float. What a strange thing. How can it still be a rock when it floats? I don't think that makes much sense, but they said it was so. I want to see one someday. I'll find out if it's really a rock then. I've seen rocks that can skip, but you have to make them do it. Thats fun. I want to do that again. Is my dam still where I left it? I wonder. It might be a good place to skip stones...
