I'm getting curious about SW fish and was wondering about how much saltwater setups cost. I know that there are the big setups with a whole second sump and everything but I've seen a coral setup in a half gallon betta container with a 2.5 gallon powerhead lol so if you could make any suggestions for a first tank and also a general cost range that would be great whee

well I know that, bot my 55g freshwater setups cost over $400. But I've heard some insane stuff about it costing at least $1k for a 55g setup.

the cost really depends on what you want to do. like if you wanted to do a full blown reef ya 1k sounds right but if you just wanted to do a fish only i would say about 400-600 sounds right.

The protein skimmer and live rock for a 55 gallon cost around $600.
