“I do now.”
*Faye answered softly. She was unsure of what to say… she didn’t dislike her sister, that wasn’t it, she simply.. knew that she was the lesser of the two. Moving her gaze away from her paws she lifted her head and gazed down at the flowers along side her paws. The night’s sky had taken over now, and everything grew dark.*
“I left home when I was small, to get away from our family, I do not remember why… it was so long ago.”
8She paused for a moment before speaking again.*
“I came back and found her… she.. she looked good and had cubs of her own, and a mate… and I… I had nothing to show. I was the first born… I was the one that should have been first to mate off and birth cubs, yet… I am the one that is alone.”
*Lukewarm tears seemed to swell up within her lime green eyes as she halted her words. She was becoming too personal now.*
“It’s alright though, I am alright…”
*She assured Jini kindly.*
“You… you spoke of your pride before.. I long to be within a pride like that... I place where I can live with others and never be alone.”

Jini felt his heart wrench as she spoke. He knew all too well how she felt. Seeing people moving on before your eyes and feeling as if you were missing something-as if you were being left behind. Feeling as if you should have done something, should have had something accomplished, but didn't. His eyes softened as he looked out at the dark. He settled down on his belly to be closer to her. "If you're ok..." he murmured softly, "Then why are you crying...?" There was no accusation in his words, only concern and a question. He leaned his head against hers in a friendly, comforting manner.
"I..." He paused, unsure how to tell her, how to explain his situation was similar. How he understood. "I know how it feels to be that way...but...you shouldn't judge yourself...on what others do. Everyone is different...everyone is happy in different ways." He shifted his eyes to look at her, but didn't move otherwise, "If you're with your sister you're not really alone but...if you want to come to the pridelands I'll take you there. I won't let you be alone there because...well..." He paused ot offer a sweet, hopeful smile, "...we're friends now...right?"

*As Jini moved himself to her level and rested himself against her Faye couldn’t help but feel helpless. Her tears slowly slid down her face as she muffled her soft cries between her paws. She couldn’t let him see her like this… not this way.
But… when he moved his head against her’s she felt safe… she didn’t feel so alone. Jini was trying to help her.. he was trying to make her feel better. This was something new. With a soft smile she lifted her head and gazed at him softly.*
“Friends…”
*Faye had never been a friend to a male before… all males ever wanted from her was nothing along the lines of being friends, so his words… they meant a lot to her. With a soft sigh she rested herself against him and nodded.*
“I’d like that…”
*He was warm and Faye needed the attention. She had felt neglected for so long, just the kind words from this young male made her heart feel full. As she relaxed again her paws laced along one another and she mewed.*
“Jini…?”

No one had never needed him before. Not his help, not his concern, not his words...so to have someone want it, to have someone treasure it...it was a joy he couldn't explain. A warmth in his heart and soul he couldn't banish. He let her lean on him, resthing his head on top of her in support. A support he wasn't going to fail to offer her. They were friends...and this was what friends did for one another. "Mm...?" His ears slipped forward slightly at his name coming from her lips as a question.

“Thank you..”
*She whispered and closed her eyes slowly. Faye just wanted to relax wit him for a while… maybe this would help the both of them, if they just fade away from everything, if only for just one night.*
“Will your mother worry about you..?”
*She spoke in a soft tone, resting her chin back to her paws. Though her body was pressed up to his side she still kept her distance, she wouldn’t want to hurt him, after all..*

Jini smiled a little, closing his eyes. "I think she'll be ok. She may not look it...but she's pretty understanding. There are some things she just understands and I'm sure she'll be ok as long as we go back sometime tomorow." He shifted to settled his own head down on his paws too, though he kepts their bodies touching at a comfortable distance. "You do...want to come back with me, right?" The question was hopeful but...nothing of his tone said he'd be disappointed if she said no. He just wanted her to be happy. And she had expressed such a desire earlier to come...he'd be more then happy to take her.

*She asked softly, resting her sight back to him as she turned her head slowly. Her ears pinned backwards as she sighed and nodded.*
“If I can, then I would really like to…”
*With that said she smiled at him and turned herself onto her side, so that she could face him better. Her right paw tilted a bit as it hit just at his side. Soft flowers tickled her nose as she wrinkled it back with a yawn.*

"Of course you'd be able to," He said with a nod and a smile, opening one light green eye to look at her reasuringly. "It's a really open place...tons of people join. And there's always someone around...not so much that you can't get some peace and quiet, but you're never lonesome...I've got tons of family there." He tilted his head slightly to look at the stars. "My parents live there...and my grandma and her kids...and my sister..." He paused, his smile looking a little more sad. "She found a mate and she's had kids too. It's funny, because it seems like only yesterday we were running around together in the grass and getting lost and stuff." But he didn't seem sad his sister was happy. On the contrary, he was glad she had found such a life for herself.

*Jini sounded a lot like Faye… they both had the same sick feeling, swelling in the back of there minds. Would they end up alone… had they missed out on what life had to offer? But... because he also felt this way… Faye didn’t feel so different… and in the end she respected Jini for being so open with her.
She sighed deeply and rested her eyes in a sheepish manner, before speaking.*
“Jini, I’d like to go back with you, if that… is alright..”
*As she spoke her tone softly faded, and within a few seconds she was purring like a kitten. Her form nestled a bit closer to his for warmth; but she made little movement after that. She was simply happy to have herself a real friend.*

Jini smiled, feeling his eyes slide closed. He was comforted by the warmth of her body and the throb of her purr. Having someone else who understood...it felt like the world was smaller, closer, and he was happier for it. "Of course," He said with a small thrum of his own deep in his throat. It was a tenor, not a deep base of a full grown male, but somehow it fit him. "I'd love to have you there," he murmured, his voice becoming a little faded as well. It was hard not to get sleepy...when he felt so at ease. He wondered when the last time had been that he had felt like this.
