I've never left mine on playing a game for more than a few hours... probably about six or something was my highest time when I wasn't around playing the game. There have been instances where I turn off the game, but the PS2 stays on with its opening screen for a night or something, but I was taught to turn off things once I was done with them, and I've stuck to the teaching. XD

And, hey, if it helped my PS2 live healthy and fine from near-launch date 'til now, then that's good for me.

I'm the same way with my PS3. If nobody's directly using it, it's off. There are certain weekends where it'll be played for quite a while, though.

Same here, I have OCD when it comes to that kind of thing sweatdrop My brother will leave his Wii on, and I'll be like "Are you going to play this or not? You're just wearing it out if you leave it on." I myself am just paranoid about dust accumulation. People don't think much of it, but dust can do some crazy stuff to hardware.

Strangely I don't have the same thing when it comes to lights...I never turn the lights off when I leave my room xd And I'm on my computer most of the time so I rarely turn it off.

But yeah, the most I've ever left my PS2 on is probably like 6-8 hours whenever I was determined to beat something or level up a lot...but that's about it.

I never left my PS2 on for long if I wasnt playing it, if I was playing it, the PS2 could litterally be on for 12+ hours.

With my PS3, I usually shut it off if I am not playing it, unless I plan on coming back to it in about an hour. If I am playing it, the PS3 could be on for hours on end.

Ah, yeah, the only time the PS3 is on when I'm not playing it is when I'm running folding@home on it. Even then, the OCD gets to me and I only set it to shut off after 1 work unit.

I dont think I would do the folding@home even if I could, I dont like to leave it on when its not in use by me, I even go as far as to unplug the machine when I am away from the house for more then a day.
