Well, I don't play jazz guitar myself but I'm dating a jazz guitarist. He plays rhythm for the most part but still takes solos from time to time and will play the melody on some tunes. Hmm...I think he's playing an Ibanez Artcore as83 with a Behringer amp, it sounds pretty decent to me for what we play. Favorite chords? I'm going to have to say Maj7b5 and other unusual ones like that, as well as anything with a b9.

i'm just starting to play guitar. learning everything slowly. for the time being i just did what my friend did and improvise within' the scale.
although my guitar is a piece of sh*t. it's a Tender (not Fender, Tender) cuz it's offbrand. But it's my pride, her name is Red. I'm saving up to buy a Rickenbacker 4003 Midnightblue Bass.
My only usefull thing is my baby Regina (Hohner Acoustic)

I'm a guitarist, and one when it comes to jazz I play strictly in the Joe Pass finger style.
When I'm not doing that I play metal. Fancy that.
