i doubt it will be in order...
it all depends on supply and demand...but look at the april and may letters/items. A lot of people hates them and it makes it less popular which will never go up a lot...it's too bad though... sweatdrop

it has to do with the amount of new people on gaia. because alot more join each month this year, they've been rising much slower. but there's still a difference between jan/feb, so in another few months, there'll be larger differences between the months of letters......

There's nothing wrong with the year. Already back in February was it in the GEN predicted (can't remember who suggested it. Jynk, perhaps?) that the previous curve of letter value rise would be entirely unpredictable due to smaller proportional user influx and the continously increasing letter hoarding.

The letters have gone into the natural price setting, ie the price is set after the popularity of the item, rather than its age.

But everybody already knew this, so ignore this post.

I think for this year's letters that both age and popularity have something to do with it. A few months ago emo bags were going for only 13k and now they've jumped to 23k and so have the chain wallets...same with the ZONY items and the slippers, which have both added a few k to the price. Although I don't ever know the PJs will be popular, I'm predicting that in early 2005 the 2003 items will be out of sight expensive for new gaians (just like now, only more so xd ); the jan, march and june items will be more like 30-60k; and both july and april (hammi and bammi) will be about 7-10k. I don't know about august and september, but there's been a glut of letters during and after their month for the past six months or so and it's only getting worse.

what do you think the sep 04 letters/items will be worth in 2005?

I expect less than 50k for those stupid Gotis/Banis >_>;
