Inside You I Was Reborn
*Black toed paws softly graced the dry lands of the Umande'mfuni as the large male moved himself out side of his family’s den. He was worn and his body ached from his lack of sleep. Due to sleeping out side of the den he didn’t really get a ‘good’ nights rest any more. With a deep sigh the red coated male sat himself back and eyed up at the nights sky. Before his cubs were born he and his mate had spent a grate deal of time together- but after the birth she had fallen ill… and so now Akamu was left to guard his family and sick mate- until she gained enough energy to get back on her paws. He loved her dearly- and his cubs as well.
There was not anything in this world that would keep him from his family. This was his life now and he lived for his mate and the cubs that they made together. He smirked softly as he pulled his gaze back from the skies. With a deep yawn the large male rested himself against a near by rock and thought to himself. His cubs had gotten bigger over the past few weeks- and his mate was slowly staring to recover... Maybe things were looking up for him for once- he hoped so. His tail softly batted from side to side as he looked out past the many dry rivers that lay not to far from where he and his family lived. The lands were dull and withered but he wouldn’t let this bring him down.
Akamu turned and smiled softly as Athiri moved outside. It had been so long… he was overwhelmed by just the sight of her. It was like when she first found him all over again. She was gorgeous and always did make him melt inside. With a soft purr he moved himself over to his mate and spoke.*
“How are you feeling my love?”
Allure
Soft, irregular pants escaped from her as she pressed onwards. Her motions were slow, yet she tried with the upmost strength to keep them rather graceful. It was apparent that she was still recovering from whatever ailed her, but she wanted to prove to her love that the road to wellness would finally be a short one. Those once amazingly brilliant eyes, were now rather dulled and glazed over. But as soon as she took sight upon Akamu, they seemed to grow brighter.
A faint glowing aura lit up her face as she managed to make a gentle smile. Each step making her grow closer and closer to him, and she swore he must have been curing her at that very moment. Her tail lay low, dragging down within the dirt behind her, leaving a wake in the rubble.
Just as she almost reached him - she stumbled upon her own paws, nearly collapsing to the ground. But her reflexes and her pride would not let her, as she caught herself just before her chin touched the ground. Looking up quickly towards Akamu, she gave him a reassuring nod, and a playful little wink of her left eye to let him know she was alright.
Finally, they would be joined together in a sweet, loving embrace. Her neck pushing softly against his, and her normal heartwarming purr began to emit from deep within her throat. She knew things would change now. Finally, they could return to being a family once again. Their dreams that they had discussed so long ago were now manifesting before their eyes.
"I'm feeling wonderful now, love." She let her eyelids slowly close, and the purring continue throughout the embrace. "Everything will be better very soon ..."

*Akamu’s body jerked forward as Athiri lost balance and stumbled over. He feared that she would harm herself- but just before he could reach her the dark lioness used her swift movements to stop herself just about the dried ground. She was a strong lioness and this showed even when she was ill. Akamu knew that her pride is what she carried herself on and she would never let anyone or thing take that from her. With a deep smile the worried male nuzzles himself against her and softly spoke.*
“I am just glad that you are feeling better…”
*For so long he had worried about her- and dreamt of the day that she would gain the strength to become well again... so having her here, beside him like this truly did fill his heart with joy and satisfaction. He eyed down at her softly and used his chin to nuzzle behind her left ear as he rested himself beside her. Words would never be enough to express his happiness right now.*
“Athiri… tell me, are you feeling well enough to be out here? I can walk you inside and we can rest for a while if you feel tired.”
*As he spoke a soft smirk passed his parted maw. He knew that she would not want him to be easy on her- but Akamu couldn’t help it. She had been sick after all- so he would worry until she was back normal and healthy again.*

The warmth that they created together was a nice contrast to the cool breeze that the night provided to them. She was amused by the scent within the wind, something that she could not sense while so deeply within the cave. Even the air rushing past her matted fur felt somewhat refreshing, and she relished in the peaceful simplicity of the moment.
But as he spoke, her mind wandered, she broke away from the thoughts of nature, and her eyes began to open. Her lids were laying rather lazily upon her eyes, not wanting to open, but she forced them. With a slow glance upwards, she folded an ear back, grinning to Akamu.
She leaned forward, bringing her maw upwards, and bit playfully upon his cheek. Pulling back softly, her tail began to sway. The tip wagging a bit back and forth ever so gleefully. Her spunk and yearning for life was beginning to return.
"My dear, you know me better than that!" She nodded slowly after releasing her gentle grasp upon his face. A paw was lifted, and set upon his own; a loving gesture. “Mmm… Alright then.”
*He chuckled as she nipped up at him. It would seem that even the worst couldn’t bring her down. This was something he loved about her- her grace and strength. With a softly smile he moved his gaze upward and eyed back at the den.*
“Is Matlai feeling any better? I know that both Ausi and Sevati miss playing with her.”
*As he asked he rested himself against her again and smiled. His other daughter- the one that looked most like him had also fallen ill around the same time Athiri had and like any good father would he worried about his little one. She was like fire- her passion for adventure and life almost seemed over whelming at times… so when she also become sick Akamu worried.*
“I have been keeping an eye on things… the girls are doing fine… they have missed you.”
*As he spoke her nuzzles his head along her forehead and softly purred. Akamu was indeed a happy man. He had a wonderful mate and three beautiful, strong cubs. Without any question he knew that he the luckiest male alive.*
“…And I have missed you.”
*He chuckled as she nipped up at him. It would seem that even the worst couldn’t bring her down. This was something he loved about her- her grace and strength. With a softly smile he moved his gaze upward and eyed back at the den.*

The sleepiness that seemed to be enslaving her eyelids vanished for a moment, as her eyes grew wide at the thought of her girls. Her heart gave a shock to her chest, a mixture of happiness and pain. She felt so bad for not being able to spend such crucial time with her offspring, she wanted to be a wonderful mother, and give her children such a bright future and upbringing.
"She has been recovering better than I..." Athiri grinned at the thought of her fiesty red daughter nipping at her ears and paws, encouraging her to get up and walk around earlier. "I am sure she will be running around very soon. She certianly has the fire and energy that I wish I had. .. But, the girls are doing alright? That makes me so happy to hear ... I wish to spend more time with them now that the illness seems to be fading."
She nodded in agreement with her own words, starting to feel a bit of worry for them. She really wanted to be with them. But, just as her love leaned against her, she closed her eyes with a smile.
"Our family will be a true family once again. Don't worry Akamu. Soon you will have four bouncing girls to keep you very busy throughout the day.." She gave a sneaky and playful laugh.

*Ausi was not too far from home when she picked up the familiar sent of her mother, and with long leaps she bounded back home. Her pale eyes flashed over the forms of her mother and father as she pulled herself over to them and with a soft mew cried.*
“Mommy!”
*Red toed paws softly pulled her to her mother’s side and with a deep smile she nuzzled herself against her mother’s lean body. Ausi was so pleased to see her mother up and about! It was a dream come true.*
“You are feeling better?!”
*She questioned softly, nuzzling her forehead along her mother’s side. She looked most like Athiri, more then her sisters did. Sevy and Mat seemed to take after Akamu more then they did Athiri- but Ausi had the same charcoal coat and loving smile as her mother. She took pride in this- she loved her mother and looked up to her more then anyone else.*
“Does this mean Mat is awake too!? Can she come and play!? I have missed her!”
*With a soft smile she beamed up at her mother and nodded softly.*
*Akamu simply smiled as Ausi ran beside them and made her way to her mother. He was happy to see that she was doing better. A few weeks ago Ausi had fallen into a state of depression- but seeing her like this now made him feel much more relaxed. Maybe she just missed her mother. With a soft smile he licked behind one of his mate’s ears before smiling down at Ausi.*

She was absolutely gorgeous, she could only faintly seem to remember her when she was so little .. but now she was already growing into a fine young lioness. The happiest of smiles grew upon her maw, as her eyes lit up brightly like the stars. She paused for a wordless moment, wanting to take in the breathtaking sight of her little girl.
"Ausi..!" She squeaked happily, returning the nuzzles and the love to her sweet little one. She couldn't help but feel tears of happiness well up within her eyes during their contact, but she wouldn't let anything reveal. She nodded in response to her question.
"Yes, I am, thank you for asking my dear.. And yes, you certianly may play! Go in there and say hello!" Her eyes stayed fixated upon Ausi as she reached forward, gently having a paw push Ausi's rear in the direction of the cave.
She leaned back against Akamu, whispering into his ear.. "She is so lovely..! I'm glad all of the girls can finally play together.." A happy purr could be heard after her last word.

*With a soft smile the young cub softly mewed at her mother and quickly padded to the den. She was so happy- her mother was better and now she could play with her sister again! She pranced along the path way to the family den and slowly made her way to the opening and with a soft smile she called out.*
“Matlai! Matlai come out and play!”
*Ausi beamed and puffed out her chest with pride. Seeing her mother again made her feel strong- Ausi was so pleased. Soon she would be able to play with both of her sisters again- this was a wonderful feeling.*
*Softly Akamu smiled as he rested himself beside his mate. His black and white mane pressed against her head and neck line as he slowly moved himself down. With a deep yawn he stretched himself out and rested at her paws. He was full of pride- this much could be seen as he smirked up at her; his lime green eyes softly laced along her form as he took in her beauty.*
