As quoted from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nippon_IchiQuote: Nippon Ichi Software, Inc. was founded in 1994 in Gifu, Japan, as an entertainment software company. Since then Nippon Ichi Software, Inc. has grown into an international company focused on creating video game products across modern console platforms. NIS America, Inc. subsidiary of Nippon Ichi Software, Inc. of Japan, established its North American operations on December 24, 2003. Based in Santa Ana, California, NIS America, Inc. handles operations including localization, marketing, and publishing of Nippon Ichi titles. NIS America was the result of the company's wish to focus on internal publication of their works in the US, given the increased popularity of their titles. Prior to the creation of this subsidiary, NIS software titles that appeared in the US were localized and distributed by outside publishers. Notable examples would be Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, published in North America by Atlus and in Europe by Koei, La Pucelle, published in North America by Mastiff Inc, and Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure which was also published in North America by Atlus.

Marona & CastilePhantom Brave This section is titled "Marona & Castile" because the goal is that you draw both of these characters together. These two characters become close friends in the game, and being so young, it's natural that they would be together often. You can chose to draw only one of them if you want to.
Also, if you are drawing Marona, alone or with Castile, and you want to stay true to the character, she is almost always accompanied by Ash, her guardian. You may want to consider encorporating him into your drawing in some fashion, if you want to stay true to the characters. As quoted from http://www.nisamerica.com/games/pb/characters/marona.htmlQuote: Marona Gender : Female Age : 13 Height : 4'6'' Weight : 68lb Ability : The miracle Ability Chartreuse gale. Marona has a unique ability to control phantoms. Her abilities enable her to work as a chroma, but unfortunately her powers are despised by others. As quoted from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phantom_BraveQuote: The main character is a 13 year old orphan girl named Marona, who has the ability to see and speak with phantoms. People fear and hate her for this. Some even cheat her and send her hate mail. Still, she harbors no resentment towards them, and is irrepressibly hopeful despite being lonely. There is one person who looks out for her: a phantom named Ash, who worked with her parents when he was still alive. He guards her and helps her do jobs for people As quoted from http://www.nisamerica.com/games/pb/characters/castile.htmlQuote: Castile Gender : Female Species : Human Age : 13 Height : 4'7'' Weight : 86lb Ability : None Castile has been ill from the time she was born, there for she does not now the outside world. She hates her own self for not being able to help others.

EtnaDisgaea & Disgaea 2 As quoted from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disgaea_charactersQuote: Etna Age: 1470 Class: Demon (Vassal) Etna is the leader of a prinny squad, and one of the few vassals who remain in the Overlord's Castle after King Krichevskoy's death. In the beginning, she attempted to wake up Laharl...through unique methods (from drills to hammers to guns to rocket launchers). From then on, Etna became Laharl's closest, though not necessarily most trustworthy vassal, aiding him in his rise to power. She is the only vassal from Laharl's original servants who goes out on the battlefield for him. Etna acts carefree, but is also very devious. Often times, it's hard to tell who she really is working for. She holds deep respect and loyalty towards King Krichevskoy, Laharl's father. Etna is often known for ending an episode with an odd "preview" to the next episode, which is often times a parody of TV shows, all of which involve her as the star.

FlonneDisgaea As quoted from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disgaea_charactersQuote: Age: 1509 Class: Angel (Angel Trainee) Nickname: Love Freak Flonne is an Angel Trainee who hails from the land of Celestia, where the Angels reside. She was sent on a mission to the Netherworld by Seraph Lamington to assassinate Overlord Krichevskoy. When she arrived, however, she realized that King Krichevskoy has been dead for over two years. She then stayed by Laharl's side in order to see if demons truly had love in their hearts. Flonne is the most innocent and naive of the three main characters in Disgaea, with tendencies to be both an otaku (she loves the tokusatsu genre, and has a costume that resembles a purple godzilla) and a ditz. She is deeply devoted to both Seraph Lamington and to the concept of 'love' and wishes to spread the latter to others, earning the title 'Love Freak' from Laharl. She, perturbed by Laharl's rejection of everything to do with love, has decided to follow him and observe if demons truly are incapable of it.

Pleinair As quoted from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlenairQuote: Pleinair is a young, female, humanoid demon that is the brain child of Nippon Ichi character designer Takehito Harada. She has appeared on his personal website and in Disgaea: Hour of Darkness and Phantom Brave, video games he designed characters for, as a non-playable character. [...] Pleinair is a humanoid (a demon, to be precise) with light blue hair and red eyes. Her actual residence is undetermined, as she appears both in the Netherworld and also on Earth. Very slightly, she resembles the Overlord of the Netherworld, Laharl, due to similar hair and her blood eyes. She usually wears a small white dress with a red ribbon in her hair. Harada has created many different outfits for her, from dresses to country clothes to space suits. Most of them are very close in appearance, sometimes only varying in bows, ties, or shoes. Sometimes Pleinair carries a plush white rabbit with stitches for a mouth. It is a plush toy though is clearly alive. Often she gnaws on her little bunny's ear or head, which is something that really hasn't been explained. This strange yet adorable girl also has a blue shark with a stitch mouth, red eyes, and band aids on its head. The shark also enjoys snacking on her bunnies, or so pictures show us. According to Disgaea 2 and Harada himself, the rabbit and shark are simply named "Usagi-san" and "Same-san". Quite often, her age has been mistaken, and fans claim her to be around 9-10 years old in human years. This is in fact not true, and has been proven so by Takehito Harada himself. In Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, she appeared as the receptionist to the Dark Assembly. In Phantom Brave, she appears by a group of people in the city in episode 3. In Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories, she appeares throughout the game in the SatelliTV News Program.

PrierLa Pucelle: Tactics As quoted from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Pucelle:_TacticsQuote: Prier—A sixteen-year-old apprentice Demon Hunter. Prier's heart is in the right place, but she's also impatient, selfish, and has a short and explosive temper. Prier usually carries a baton, but more often uses her muscular legs in combat (she can knock down a thick lead door in one kick!)

RozalinDisgaea 2 As quoted from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disgaea_2Quote: Rozalin (ロザリンド, "Rozarindo"): The one and only daughter of Overlord Zenon. Rozalin was summoned during a failed attempt by Adell's mother to summon Zenon. Due to the summoning contract placed on her, she is unable to leave Adell and must help him find Zenon. Incredibly snobby, Rozalin is unaware of the world around her due to her pampered life. Because of this, she has no battle experience and tries (and fails) to get Adell killed indirectly on several occassions. In addition, Adell's strong vow to bring her back to her father begins to make her think differently.

Generic CharactersThese characters do not have descriptions because they have no distinct personalities. They are job classes in the Disgaea games. You can create your own characters in these games, and they can become a variety of job classes. Therefore, it's possible for these job classes to have any type of personality.
Also, in Disgaea, there is not simply one class for each job. There are levels to each job, and the different levels are represented by slightly differently colored portraits and sprites. The unit's hair color and outfit color will change, so if you'ed prefer a blonde Ronin, or a knight with blue hair and outfit, have at it.Ronin Knight Kunoichi (Female ninja) 1 2 3 (Warning: Um, provocative?) Well, it's in the game, so..
Consideration: PrinniesPrinnies in Disgaea are always used in the pursuit of comedy, and in the Netherworld, they are abundent. You are welcome to draw any of the Nippon Ichi Software characters with prinnies. If you're drawing free art, you're welcome to just draw prinnies, if you want! But keep in mind that the majority of prinnies are decidedly male in personality. As quoted from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PrinnyQuote: A prinny resembles a small, usually blue, pouch-wearing penguin with disproportionately small bat wings and two peg legs where feet would normally be. A common trait of prinnies is their upbeat attitude and frequent use of the word "dood" (as an interjection - they constantly end their sentences with "-ssu" in the Japanese dialogue). They explode when thrown. [...] According to the game Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, when a human who has led a worthless life (e.g. a rapist or murderer) dies, the soul is sewn into the body of a prinny. After being reborn, the newly created prinny will serve as either a soldier, slave, or servant in the Netherworld or Celestia until it has earned reincarnation, and leave its servitude in a ritual involving the Red Moon. Some prinnies may rebel or be banished. These misfit prinnies live in a special place called "Prinny Land", where prinnies do not explode when thrown. [...] Prinnies use knives or daggers as their primary weapons, and occasionally use bombs in team attacks. They can also summon a gigantic energy beam known as the "Pringer Beam". In the anime "Makai Senki Disgaea", based off the game Disgaea: Hour of Darkness the weaponry of the Prinny's is reduced to fish.
