Elhaym Van Houten, the fourth Antitype, was born to Erich and Medena Van Houten in 9982. Although it is suspected her real mother might have been a land-dweller nanny, she was raised as a first-class citizen of Solaris.
As the daughter of an important military officer, Elly eventually attended the military academy, Jugend. It was during her tenure at Jugend that she was first exposed to the combat enhancement drug, "drive," which caused a powerful spike in her ether abilities, killing several people. This drew the notice of Krelian, but he did not do anything… yet. Elly also met several of the Elements while at Jugend, including Dominia.
Elly graduated from Jugend and rose to the rank of Lieutenant in the Solaris Special Forces, Gebler. She was eventually assigned to help capture the "new Kislev prototype," Weltall, from a base north of Nortune in the Kislev Empire. During the return trip her party was attacked by pursuing Kislev gears and she was forced to land near the village of Lahan. She abandoned her gear and left the town in the direction of Solaris controlled Aveh. She met Fei the day after her departure in the Blackmoon Forest..
Elly uses two combat rods in battle, and uses a wide assortment of techniques she learned while in the Solaris military. Being the fourth antitype, she also has extremely powerful ether abilities, including spells from all four elements.
