EDIT: So maybe I am complaining about it more than I should, but- They seemed like the were supposed to be bigger key figures than Cherenkov, yet he had far more story coverage. He had his backstory (even if it was to show past events) and thoughts revealed. I just felt that Margulis and Pellegri should have gotten at least the same amount of story treatment. And then for Pellegri to suddenly die all suicidally like that- Almost uncharacteristically, and with basically nothing leading up to it- I don't know. It just seemed very disappointing when they had loads of potential to work with.
--- --- Hokay. I've been playing the game very slowly not wanting to rush it. As, it might very likely be the last Xenosaga game.
But as I drew nearer the whole Michtam part- I got impatient and started rushing. xD; I REALLY wanted to get to Ziggy's story.
Anyway, that aside-
PELLEGRI. How could they do that? They were just being LAZY by killing her off there. "I'm tired." That annoyed me to no end. And why did her ES blow up when Richard and Co's didn't? D:< Dernit. They were just too lazy to implement her into the ending.
She didn't even get to find out that Ormus was false. And where was Margulis? Dx Shouldn't she have been looking for him? And that's another point, she supposedly cared for Margulis, right? So why did she randomly give up on life when he was still around. Shouldn't there have been a whole confrontational thing between Wilhelmified Margulis and Pellegri?
I mean, isn't she supposed to be the type of character who finds out everything they believed in was a lie, and then helps the main cast (sometimes by sacrificing their life, at which point they might THEN say "It's okay etc etc. I'm tired."). For example, if she had been betrayed by Margulis as well as finding out the truth about Ormus- You might see why she'd just give up on everything. But then again, she wouldn't necessarily have to be betrayed by Margulis. It would all depend on how highly or lowly he thought of her. As well as the current thoughts going through his mind, after finding out the truth and losing his goals.
And they better not have decided to make Margulis become a Testament so he can fight Jin. Dx That would just make him into a frivolous cliché boss and destroy his character too. Please tell me they don't? ._.
But yeah, anyway. The game is still good and all- I'm not saying it isn't. It's just. They destroyed her. ]: They turned her from a potentially decent depthy character into... ORGULLA. Because really, now she's just another Orgulla who had extra screen time and a tiny microscopic connection to Jin.
They also rushed the whole Dmitri and Citrine arc. Ohright. And nobody seemed to care about what happened to the 100-series on the Durandal. Dx
I'll just repeat that I don't actually think the game is bad, but- They sorta. Didn't do so well in some of the.. story elements?

Their ES's did blow up. Just not so dramatically.
She did know Ormus was false. She found out from Margulis. That's why she was being so fatalistic when she encountered Jin. I believe her line was something like "It was all a deception; everything we did was for nothing."
And Margulis just died. End of story. Wilhelm ain't makin' no more Testaments.

They did? The image I got was of them shutting/breaking down. And then dissipating/disintegrating.
How did she find out from Margulis if he died- Or does he die later as an extra boss wanting to fight Jin?
And yeah, I guess she did say something like that. I forgot in my shock? xD; But what she said was vague, with no lead up. And if she had found out from Margulis- He obviously thought highly enough of her to tell her, and was alive at some point. In which case, as she'd have something left, it wouldn't make sense for her to be suicidal. Wouldn't it have made more sense for her to want to atone and help people? And it's not like she hadn't questioned the morals of their organization before.

I was kinda wondering about all the people were lost on the Durandal, too. 100 Series included. Maybe they cared....just not out in the open...and then realized, they can always make more. D:,
I wonder what's gonna happen with the Kukai Foundation with the Durandal gone. Now it's not gonna be so free orbiting anymore... emo And no Gaignun, either. What a bum, killing himself off like that. Leaving a whole little colony with to fend for itself in the big wide galaxy. ):<
And stuff.
I didn't expect Pellegri OR Margulis to die, at all. ):, Made me kind of sad. They DID have plenty more potential in the story.

All the antagonists had good potential. They cared for none of them. I'm angry... mainly because of Wilhelm. Pelligri and Margulis I can kind of understand.
Ahh, something that kind of ticked me off was {even though, I can see why} Wilhelm not having a change in voice in the 'You fool' line. he was clearly pissed, why not make him act like it? Geeze... anyhow...
yea.... i'm too lazy to type more right now...

I want to ask Soraya what she would have done with Dmitri, Citrine, Margulis and Pellegri. And try to make a flash version. BUT MAYBE THAT WOULD BE RETARDED. DD: Besides, her website says she won't answer those types of emails or questions.
It's just. It's so disappointing to have them end like that. ]:
I haven't actually seen what they've done with Wilhelm yet. But. I hope it's not too bad. xD; I was hoping for Wilhelm flashbacks and back story, but I guess there won't be much of that either (if any).
Seeing as most of episode III is the stuff they left out of episode II- just IMAGINE all the stuff that's been cut out. Dx
Look back at Shoko's thread regarding the cuts. It's. It's even worse now when episode III didn't include half of that stuff. We never even got the Godwins' story.

I agree. I feel as though a lot of the story that I was looking forward to wasn't dealt with. I wanted a lot more personal stuff, and less of the organizations and whatnot. I didn't find Ziggy's part of the story particularly interesting, either, and that was huge for me because I was really interested in that.
It was and is a very good game, though.
gonk
I want them to make more, dammit! gonk
