I actually bought my ninja headband at Harucon (a local anime con) last year. It was $20, but would've been worth it if I hadn't lost it D= Also, I read in some anime magazine, but I don't remember which one. It was steps to creating a headband. I made one with substitute stuff I had (I didn't have the right color of fabric or anything like that) and it...almost worked...But I made it more for fun than to actually use, since ninjas don't have Xmas print headbands with mugrug "metal" plates sweatdrop

Sheiklockhart Okay, I really want Deidara's headband from Naruto..and after searching through ebay and google, I could not find ANY Deidara headbands, including ones without the crack. So disappointed because they had rain, grass and even waterfall..as well as Itachi's [of course], Kisame's and Sasori's. Here is a pic: Can anyone give me advice on how to make the headband..without it looking like a ghetto cosplay XD you can always try the cheap way, which is open a soda can, drink it of course XD, then you cut it out and sue the aluminum or whatever the matrial it is on teh inside and use that, maybe use from cloth. another alternative is to buy one of a nice ebay or bargen place. you can always draw it on paper and pin it on a cloth as a desperate absolute last choice XD

For my Deidara headband, I just bought a Waterfall Village (it really doesn't matter what symbol's on it... that one was just cheaper) off eBay and took a can of silver spraypaint to it. Once it dried, I took a sharpie and drew on the stone symbol.

My tutorial- based on the soda can idea, but it's better than the original that was posted on some random(now dead) website, and much more fun to do. It can be dangerous though if you act stupid, but you won't, so just be careful with the boxcutter! This tutorial is nice and simple....

I hope this helps.. just make sure you get the silver metal fasteners(they have them at craft stores, not Staples, as I learned only last week. Too late for me, but not for you!)
Although, check E-bay again. I saw a Deidara Iwagakure headband about a month ago, so maybe they have more for sale- now that Shippuuden is out.
