Whee, I made avi art of my own avi to put in my joint art shop (still under construction... I'll post a link when it's up and running). So... tell me what you think. It's the first major thing I've done with my tablet!!

hmm.

To start off, It's really nice, but sloppy.

To make it neater, I suggest using different layers for lineart, and the coloring.

If I ever manage to find a good tutorial on how to use layers I will link it for you.

Also, The folds aren't the best. I suggest looking at this website for tips:

For shading look here:

I did use layers. But since I saved it as a.. bmp, I believe, the layers are compressed into one. I still have the layered version saved though, as a .riff

yes, I know it's a little sloppy... still getting used to the tablet. sweatdrop
Did I mention I'm still trying to figure out all the tools in CorelPainter? Heh... that probably attributes to the colouring, I wasn't sure how to use all of it... not to mention my shading's not all that great in the first place!!

Thank you!

Ah, That explains things. X.x

I always try to save in png format.

And yea. It's ok, I mean it took me a month to get used to using my tablet so.. I don't blame you.

(I hope I wasn't too harsh.. x.x;; )

Just try to make your lines fewer but correct. The fewer you use the neater it will look. Also, layering has nothing to do with how it is compressed after you've finished.

If you put the nice clean black lines on top of the colouring, you would get that effect of faded parts of black around where you have highlighted the colouring.

It's a nice, slouchy pose but her left arm just isn't right.

@ficklefiend: Hmmm. Thanks for the advice, I'll keep that in mind!
And I know, after I finished it, I was looking at her arm like... that just looks wrong, but I don't know how to fix it... So if anyone could do a drawover, I'd appreciate it. <3

@Ichigo: Not at all, I'm pretty good at taking crits.
