Well... there's this girl that kinda stationed herself next to me in choir... it's her second year in choir, and mine, but she's like... solidly following me. And not in time either o_o
Nor in key.
Nor with any... good tone.
In fact, it sounds very unsure and hesitant, and it's throwing me off. But my... awesome rhythm... x_x;;; yes, I can say that?... has somehow attracted her to me, and she feels the need to follow a split second behind me and it's SCREWING ME UP crying
Basically she's one of those people who'll hide behind someone, and listen to the others and bs to make it through. But... it's making it less enjoyable for me. I took my cell phone (hence the completely crappy sound... it's a very nice sounding choir, especially seeing as this is our third class together with the new members) and set it on her music stand during part of the run-through, and listened to it later, cringing.
Advice to get rid of my cling-on?

i honestly would say, just tell her the truth. you don't want her sitting next to you anymore, because you suck. or talk to your director and have them do something about it, maybe have her re-audition or something.
when i'm first learning a new song, i match my pitch to the other first sopranos that im singing with, until i know the melody after a few times. then it works :]
but, if you don't want to be nice, just yell at her. >:]

Indeed.
Today I told her to get out of our special row (me and a few other second-year soppranos sit in a fourth row in a three-row choir... because we're special o_o;; ) and she went with an argument, but I told her it was just me and my friends and that I didnt know her, and she should go and try to learn from the third-year sopranos, because I probably suck O.o;;
That got her to move for about ten minutes before she went all whiny "they dont want me by them~!" X_X

Thats when you just have to be mean and tell her " well neither do I, go away"
