-Sally seems to draw inspiration only from minor characters like Gottin Go (ZZ), but the side comment suggests that she's like Marvette and the Shrike Team all rolled into one woman.
What adds to the cuteness is the fact that the characters are commenting on their relations. For example, regarding Duo, Judau's saying "Self-destruct? Wha?" and Chibodee is asking what Operation Meteor has to do with the American Dream. Char (MSG) actually seems sort of intrigued by Heero, and Usso is asking Quatre (in ZERO-psycho mode) if he's okay.
Honestly, I'm amazed at how much influence V Gundam had on Wing. They've almost got entirely different tones...
