I'm in definite agreement on the laugh at people who say: "Let's throw on all our 03 MCs and think we look cool!" Because you know what? You really don't. >.<
If you're brave enough, go to the AT and ask for help when you just can't find the right item. :3
Have some sort of theme. Be it color or cosplay or school girl or angel or a specific item, having a theme helps a lot when making avatars.

ROFL. I have a gwee and a fox set outfit. But there are very few occasions where they can look decent.

i have absolutely no list of rules, considering I used to tektek but I hardly do anymore (i really was never that good anyway) if I had to say the one thing I make sure of is that I have at least two colors to work with and I distribute them evenly though out the avi.
