Now she could understand it, the way their father could just lounge around in the sunlight like this on warm days, on cloudy days, on any day but a rainy day. Thankfully it was the first-- and the sun was beaming down in spots through the clouds. Despite the cloud coverage the temperature was quite plesant to the native-Pridelander.
She let out a wide stretching yawn suddenly as she lay there sunning, dark coat baking nicely under the sunrays. Mosi was just finally rousing from a nap outside of the den and just beyond the shade of the aforementioned tree. It was a beautiful day for relaxing, though she wondered where Juhudi and Jini had gotten off to, even their parents. What was their whole family up to?

It wasn't a particularily bright and sunny day, but that surely didn't dampen Ezeoha's mood. In fact, lacking two nights of sleep didn't hinder his happiness. What lion could sleep when they found out they were going to have children? He did not know how adults put up with it, with the waiting and the feeling of intense joy that lasted for so long. Ezeoha felt like he was going to burst! Sure, times weren't the greatest in the Pridelands, but Ezeoha could not feel any guilt for being happy.
He pranced along (yes, actually pranced) with a goofy look on his face. It was only luck that he his path happened to cross with Mosi's (well, her path was more like a blob on the ground where she was laying). "Mosi, my dear friend! Get up! We should run, chat, or do something. Y'know, lounging under the clouds is what I would consider lazy. Wait for the sun to come out at the very least!" Right, what ever happened to a simple 'hello'?
Oh dear gods, he realized he was rambling. What an un-Ezeoha-like thing to do!

Wait. Was that Ezeoha?
Mosi cracked her eyes open, blinking groggily at the golden prince. When was the last time she'd seen him go on like that, the first time they met, she was pretty sure. What had him so excited?
"I'm entitled to be lazy now." She yawned again, lifting her head with a soft clatter of the bone-necklace around her neck. (two small ivory beads of bone, a large wood beads between those, and in the center a fang-shaped bone.) "What has you so excited? I don't see you hyper very often."

He laughed good naturedly, honestly seeming to be too happy for his own good. His red eyes looked down at her as he forced himself to take a seat. "Entitled to be lazy now? Why would you say that? Honestly, Mosi, I'm the one who is usually lazy, and you are the one who is supposed to be getting me up." His eyes turned mock-critical, as if he found this change in positions unsatisfying.
"Oh, where'd you get that? I dare say that it's absolutely striking, not as striking as my jewelry, but it stands out and draws attention to your neck. I've always liked your neck, well, all of you, but that doesn't matter." He had spotted the necklace, but seemed too preoccupied with his own happenings to worry about hers.
"The most wonderful thing has happened!" Once again, he was up, and prancing around like a little lioness when experiencing her first crush. "Chinara and I are going to have babies! She is pregnant, and I am to be a father! It's what I've waited for... for such a long time! Is it not wonderful?"
Ah, so that would be what had gotten him so hyper.

...... What?? Already? Well............ not that she could talk.
Her surprise was apparent by the widening of her eyes, the slight drop of her jaw, the blink-- and then she recovered. Mosi was still feeling a bit surprised, and her sleepy state wasn't helping. She barely had time to keep up!
"Slow down, Ezzy!" She chided with a soft huff before shifting back to sit up and smirk. "I'm glad that you're so excited about it. Do you know how long? And... the necklace was from Juhudi," She answered, looking sheepish.
